Wow, time flies. 30 years ago last month, I joined up with @beck for a whirlwind life full of destinations, creations, exploits, ideas, meals, flights, rides, detours, side quests, parties, merriment, and mayhem.There’s been odelays, mutations, vultures, sea changes, gueros, informations, morning phases, and many other phases that no one’s ever heard.So many tours, so many sessions, so many laughs, so many lifelong friends and associations made along the way.Obviously it hasn’t been consistent for me, especially in recent years.But when I do get to dip back in…boy do I savor it. Thank you Beck you genius, it’s been quite the honor.

But he's also shown a quieter, more introspective side on albums like the string-heavy 'Sea Change' (2002) and its close cousin, 2014's 'Morning Phase.' That's the sound we hear on his new cut, "Ride Lonesome." In fact, to record the song, Beck reunited with the same group that worked on 'Sea Change,' including Jason Falkner and Smokey Hormel on guitar, Joey Waronker on drums and producer Nigel Godrich, who mixed "Ride Lonesome."⁠
