Susan Forde is a media researcher specialising in community, grassroots, and alternative media and journalism forms, and a Professor of Jounalism at Griffith University. Led by Shane Homan, Associate Professor in Media and Communications at Monash Unversity, the report looks into the significant cultural, social, and economic contribution community radio has on the Australian music industry - across, artists, venues, communities and more.

'The community radio sector contributes about $153 million dollars to the Australian music industries every year, and that is after the investment is accounted for. That is a net contribution.'
