this was shot with a canon 5d mark iv, one godox ad200 flash and no crew – you don’t always need a big team or the newest equipment...

the brand came in with clear notes and direction about the campaign which helps more than people realise. it keeps you aligned. without them, you run the risk of shooting something pretty but off-brand.

the deck i prepared was super lean but essential. it’s easy to go blank when something doesn’t go as planned – and that’s when a simple deck can save you. posing references, creative direction, extra locations… doesn’t need to be fancy, just needs to remind you what matters.

we shot in public spaces, which meant adapting on the fly: weather, crowds, last-minute changes. i always keep backup locations in mind. cheat the angles, find your frame and personally i try to make it look like anywhere but singapore…
