New design drop!

This May I decided to do a series of illustrations celebrating my Japanese/Okinawan heritage; I’ve always loved Darumas and love the inner strength, perseverance and mindfulness they represent. Here’s the first daruma of the series— a Japanese macaque, complete with sweet potato :)

Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce I have a new line of designs to unveil— DANCING LETTERS! Inspired by my time in the SoCal swing dance scene, I’ve made some hand-drawn designs that I hope communicate my personal connection to each of the main three swing dances. These designs will be making their debut as prints tonight at the @lindygroove 25th anniversary party— limited quantities of each design so catch ‘em before they’re gone and bring home a bit of dancing art to give your walls some color :)

So if you follow my dance account this might be old news to yo, but I got to participate in breaking a Guinness World Record down in @visitnewportbeach with @atomicballroom yesterday— setting the new record for the World’s Largest Swing Dance Lesson with about 1200 people participating! It was absolutely a blast.

To celebrate, I am doing a limited-time reprint of my “Balboa Over Balboa” design! Starting at 8pm PST this print- depicting bal being danced in the sky over Balboa pier- will go on sale on my website www.coolbonesart.com.
