She was the LA and project manager and worked with our own Thomas Beasley as well as Kevin Smith with @denverparksrec to create a very special park with a lot of intentional choices to honor the neighborhood and it's Chicano roots. A recent site visit to Holladay Hills offered a closer look at the evolving public plaza surrounding the renovated Macy’s building in Holladay, Utah.

Designed in collaboration with @woodbury_1919, @nelsen_partners, Spectrum Engineering, and Hydrosystems, the project is beginning to reveal how landscape, architecture, and the Wasatch backdrop come together to shape the experience of the site.

Natural flagstone elements now weave through the plaza, defining pathways, gathering spaces, and moments of pause throughout the landscape. As construction continues, the material palette and spatial rhythm are starting to take shape in a way that feels grounded in the surrounding environment.

Looking forward to seeing the plaza continue to evolve.

Our team recently visited pikus_3d to coordinate a custom BBQ feature for an upcoming mixed use and multifamily project in Utah City alongside @nelsen_partners. The shop visit brought the team into the middle of the fabrication process, surrounded by material samples, physical models and advanced 3D printing technology that helped refine the design in real time.

3D printed concrete continues to open new possibilities for form, precision and craft and it’s exciting to see those ideas move from concept into fabrication.

Thanks to the community, La Raza Park’s revitalized playground, upgraded basketball courts, ADA-compliant pathways, native landscaping, and more are complete. Every improvement is a promise kept to this neighborhood, and to every generation still coming.

They didn’t just build a park. They planted something.
We’re not building for the kids of today, we’re shaping spaces that will be enjoyed seven generations out.
