Over the past year, since I first prototyped a contactless magnetic resonator device, @landscape.fm and I have been working feverishly on a collaboration.And now we're so thrilled to present FERROUS to the public.The device allows one to use a thumb wheel, touchpad, pulse button, or CV input to control the speed of embedded rotating magnets.

Here's a brief demonstration of how FERROUS can sweep through harmonics across all the strings of a guitar.It also sounds amazing on bass, piano, autoharp, snare drum wire, etc. More audio samples and information can be found on the Landscape site!

Using her body as a point of departure, Evicshen restructures sonic meaning through experimentation with self-made electronics and unconventional materials. Sound, form, and sense bend in her live corporeal explorations, inviting viewers to unpack and reinterpret their relationship with the material possibilities for creating sound.

Prenant son propre corps comme point de départ, Evicshen reconfigure le sens du sonore à travers des expérimentations mêlant électronique artisanale et matériaux non conventionnels.
