Faceless Entity stands for harrowing and frightening art not composed for the masses. The Dutch horde reflects on life and death and wants the listener to surrender to the fear of the unknown, allowing this fear to permeate their psyche. Stylistically, their music can be described as raw atmospheric Black Metal. Slow and somber tempos create a lethargy and overwhelm the listener with an eerie and oppressive dread. The grating guitar sound and unpolished production further enhance the dark atmosphere. Also atypical are the dark and harsh vocals, which occasionally alternate with piercing screams and clean vocals. Their works are characterized by a profound fascination with the dark aura of the individual and the soul in the face of the ominous and threatening. So far, they have released two full-length albums and five demos.

“The Shape of Absence”
Rehearsal Demo November MMXXV
Available as of now digitally through our Bandcamp and physically as cassette through The Throat (@thethroat666).

Captured in Elten, Germany on eight tracks and mastered through analog equipment.
A temporary alignment within the entity shaped these sessions, leaving a distinct sense of distance, instability and quiet strain.

Four pieces from The Great Anguish of Rapture appear here in their rawest form, together with a rendition of Stilte, originally created by session drummer R.K. for Azanul.
What remains is a sound marked by space shifting in and out of focus, movements that stumble and realign, and imperfections allowed to define the whole.
A moment of necessity. A presence outlined by absence.

Weer keert het najaar en belaagt
Het hart, dat droef, maar steeds gewender,
Zijn heimelijke pijnen draagt.

En in de kamer, waar gelaten

As bandmates in the haunting entity that is Faceless Entity, they open portals to a realm few dare enter. Their strain of black metal doesn’t just echo with despai,it breathes it. Faceless Entity explores the deep, trembling silence between life and death. Life as a paradox: beautiful, yet unbearable at the same time.

Through albums like The Great Anguish of Rapture and In Via ad Nusquam, and a cluster of obscure demos, Faceless Entity shapes a sound that’s raw and immersive with hypnotic riffs, cavernous vocals, and passages that spiral between furious torment and introspective melancholy.
