New sample book ✨ Ten pages of optical tricks, little patterns becoming metapatterns, gradients and graphics, all 3D printed on different color microfibers. How does a sample become… not a sample?
Designed for Chatour Solutions. Huge thank you to @kathrynmichael for breaking out the macro lens and spending an afternoon documenting with me

Celebrating Lunar New Year with this series of horse prints for our friends @wxchatour 🌑🐴 🔥

Snips from @tammowhammo show A comedy of mortals: paradiso” closing @lehmannmaupin tomorrow. A year ago Tammy asked for a set of prints thinking about fractals, shells, flags of convenience and Timaeus 🧠 These prints are composed of deconstructed elements from national flags: celestial objects, plants, animals, tools, symbols and body parts. I tried to use this “flag grammar” to draw space, but really it turned into a bunch of fossils. Flags are weird & the things we do for them, weirder still. Go check out Tammy’s wild paintings!

This solstice, I’m celebrating 10 years since leaving a job in architecture to find my own path. So incredibly grateful to the friends, clients and creative community that have sustained me since, both in NYC and online. I am terrible at manifesting anything — all I know is a little fissure of creativity that yields a bit when pulled, until things fall out and collide with those around me. Really it’s an ocean that I’ll never fully explore or comprehend, and I am constantly overwhelmed by things I’d like to make, and I lean on collaborators to stay focused, grounded and fed. I dont think I’ve said no to a job or opportunity in those ten years (working on that), and am always willing to share whatever little wisdom I’ve gleaned along that journey with others. So, a little post sharing the randomness, hustle (and privilege!) of my journey so far 😵💫
1 five years working @diller_scofidio_renfro mostly on the design and documentation of this building, mostly on 30+ devious flights of stairs
2 first project with @threeasfour summer of 2015
3 first successful lamp prototype
4 so many balenciaga concepts with @davidtasman
5 early project making molds with @chuckmoffitfurniture
6 superpattern collection getting ready to launch
7 superpattern pop up after installing with @proptogroup @colab.xyz
8 greta oto at phildelphia museum of art with @threeasfour
9 application testing lenticular 3D prints
10 so many house designs that fell through, for one reason or another
11 several that didnt @strongwater
12 spending a hot summer week installing this metal interior for @millionsarchitecture
13 early concept for @quincymoore @newyorkornowhere knicks store
14 so many fabrication drawings with @mena_propto
15 two works with @threeasfour in the @cooperhewitt triennial
16 first grant with @anettemillington@centerforcraft
17 full circle to making stairs with @markgettysarchitects
18 celebrating 7 generations of teaching and mentoring with @parsonstextilesmfa this year
19 steeling myself for 10 more years with @kathrynmichael
20 with @elsheldo my moral and aesthetic compass throughout (as well as all time favorite human)
