I’ve known Jun Lu since 2014 — the same year we both picked up some old Japanese point and shoot cameras and learned film photography together. We were baby gays in a relationship with some cameras, film and a dream to become photographers. We shot 1000’s of photos, always chasing the image and pushing to become better image makers.
After we broke up, we went our separate creative ways and found our own visual voices and purposes. When Interview Magazine asked me to shoot Rob, we had a small window and a big vision. I asked Jun to shoot with me because I knew, even with limited time, we could create a rich visual story. It’s truly an honour to create with people you love — the incredible Interview team and Jun Lu.
A lot of magic goes into this kind of work, and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by people who bring that magic. Thanks for looking. ♥️♥️♥️
