Set against the vast Kazakh steppe, Bartogay Lake follows an old man driving alone, burdened by memories of a lost love. When he arrives at the lake with flowers in hand, a simple gesture becomes impossible, his car door refuses to open, trapping him in a quiet space between past and present.
