My latest album Spectral Remnants is now out on CD and Bandcamp. It's an eerie, dreamlike exploration through a psychedelic landscape of texture and rhythm. There's a link to it in my bio.
Thanks so much to @glorbis and @lexciya_ at @lizard_label for releasing this. And thanks to @brat_sampson for the incredible album art. And also thanks to Jason Letkiewicz for the terrific mastering job.
My good friend @jtcrose wrote a few words about it:
The moment didn’t last for long, not in this place. It was 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘋𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 that brought us out in the open, a deviation in our straight line-of-thought. Despite this loosening of judgements’ horizontal-hold, our sense of Dread (capital “D” Dread (the agnostic kind)) remained alive. The frenzied campaign of 𝘈𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱 that once saturated the notional landscape had vanished, leaving eddies and currents of diffuse interference to coalesce in its wake. Iridescent clouds signal and harass at the edge of alarm...
No sky up above, instead an electric eye radiates only cold comfort from that feeling of being watched. “Protect Ya Neck” rasps some shrouded paranoiac megaphone. We know it would do better to shield some other vital organ stab in the dark in this dissociative’s shadowland...
Depopulated, depersonalized, a subspace of that same tuned-to-a-dead-channel lit acid-sprawl of 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. We’ve been surviving since who can remember when. That trick of 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘴 lets linger the ghosts of “song.” Hear? reduced to residue, dancehall apparitions’ rhythmic scaffolds wet with ectoplasmic bass slime. Turned out warehouse ghosts pool 𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 pensive tension into new shimmering mirage...
Shortwave number station voices sermon on the periphery of perception. Subliminal pronouncements hector and herrie, stammer and stutter until aphony; what’s said seems important, we just can’t make it out. Clamour and din of hearsay echo “this place, this place”, leaving only 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴.

Official lineup for the Reptilian Roster Artist Showcase, this Sunday at @publicworksgallery!!
Hope to see you there! Tickets can be purchased in advance on RA, link in bio :)

Rounding out the last of the reptilian roster (for now) is close friend and talented artist we absolutely love having with us on Lizard Label.
Composuresquad - Lost Leaders
released December 6, 2024
Written, Recorded & Mixed by Jermaine Collins
Mastering by Jason Letkiewicz
Artwork & Design by Jermaine Collins
Words by M. Sugarman
About the artist:
Composuresquad, a multi talented Chicago nightlife DJ, has cemented himself as a key figure in the scene. Beginning in 2014 with Them Flavors, he quickly became a resident DJ and promoter, organizing 130+ events. In 2020, he transitioned to producing original music, releasing singles and shortly after, his debut LP. His music spans various sub-genres, mirroring his eclectic DJ sets. Beyond music, he has also recently ventured into visual arts, often combining the entirety of his skillset by teasing original music with accompanying visuals on social media. Notable achievements include throwing a sold-out Boiler Room event in 2022 with a focus on overlooked talent. His success led to another Boiler Room performance in 2023. With each accomplishment, his ambition as a visual artist, DJ, producer, and promoter continues to grow, solidifying his role as a curator in music. - Chuck Trash (RIP)

Just a lizard, emerging from winter hibernation, to make another post about another LizLab artist we are SO proud to have on our label 🥲🦎:
Pamela_ and her sons - Inside Sun
released October 18, 2024
Written, Recorded & Mixed by Carbon Anderson
Mastering by Jason Letkiewicz
Artwork & Design by Carbon Anderson
Words by Shayna C.
About Pamela_ and her sons:
Pamela_ and her sons is the solo music project of Carbon Anderson. Carbon has been performing as Pamela_ and her sons since 2013. Anderson’s practice in sound and painting (@kissingpost92) gravitates around spiritual communion with the natural world and protection of life, in embracing complexity, listening and observing.
“Enchanted movements of mutagenic vocal harmoniums & breakbeat translucence, enveloping the sensorium, eluding hypotheticals, allowing uncertainty to flourish & bloom in photosynthetic floral knowledge…” (DJKL)
Carbon began performing in 2013, and their wild sound was nurtured by Atlanta’s experimental dance and noise scenes. They are a member of the genre transcending sonic configuration Spiral Generator, along with infinityBC, Kiernan Laveaux, Mira Mira, T. Wan, and Rage.inald. In 2022 they formed Real Blue Love Rips (R.B.L.R.) with Reggie Scott Smith (aka Rage.inald), a left-field and underground techno label and show series for electronic body music bliss.

Michael Sugarman is a writer, musician, and artist living in Providence, RI.
Perfect Information is the first piece of fiction he has published under his own name.
He has been actively involved in electronic and experimental music sine 2009, releasing music on labels like Hausu Mountain and Dreamtone, playing in the band Organsm, and organizing shows in New York and Chicago.
That involvement led him to launch the Groove Café project in 2017, focused on building a sustainable documentation resource for building safe and vibrant DIY scenes.
At his day job (the Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure at UMass Amherst), he is developing a (hopefully) non-commercial platform for community-driven music discovery called Freq and produces the lab podcast “Reimagining the Internet.”

Next up on the Reptilian Roster is Sug - Slug Zone
released March 15, 2024
