I’m so excited to share the launch of @minimakersfilmlab! This is something @locksy and I have been dreaming up and it feels a little surreal that it’s here and now and we are already getting sign-ups for our inaugural class and workshop. It will be so fun and rewarding to share our experiences and love of filmmaking and documentary with creative and imaginative young minds. In a world that feels dark and chaotic, turning to art is healing. Sharing your view of the world is healing. Connecting with an audience is healing. To be able to have any sort of part of a young artist’s path is an honor! Our flagship class is Mini Docs, where students will dive into the world of documentary filmmaking and leave having made a mini doc of their own that we will screen with family and friends. I’m 43 today and while my birthdays don’t hold as much significance now that my son’s birthday is so close to mine…they still happen!It’s an interesting time in my life.For one I now happily call Nashville home. It’s remarkable how different time feels when you have clearly defined seasons. I’m also now a frog king and I’m happy to report that my kingdom is thriving. It helps that all dissent is punishable by death but that’s what a benevolent dictatorship looks like. Sending love to all my friends and family wherever you are in the world and in life.

Today marks a special day for me. We finalized the adoption of our son who we have had since he was 8 days old. It’s been a long journey. I always try and tell him that I’m so happy that he is my son. He is a special boy and while he has always been a Lockridge in my heart, it’s nice to have it on paper too. ❤️ I’m thankful for @heywhitneya. He is a great kid because of her and a little rascal because of me.

Now streaming on Disney plus and Hulu!! One sequence I’m super proud of that I filmed is the intro to Robert in Florida riding his homemade bike with the big American flag on it. Was so much fun to film and the Time Machine was pretty cool too.

Good Morning!Seeing a lot more sunrises thanks to my son.Spent the holidays here in LA this year and it was awesome.Toilet training and sleep regressions…less awesome.I feel like a walking zombie but looking forward to new projects with awesome people in the new year.
