So blessed to see another year 🙌🏼
To live a life doing what I love, and to be surrounded by so many incredible people who have helped me tremendously along the way. My goal has always been to make this planet a better place for humans and animals alike, and doing something like that takes a village. It may be my birthday today, but all I can think about is how grateful I am for the life I live and the people I have who support me. It’s still hard for me to believe that these cats are even real. I’ve always heard that true perfection exists only in nature and I’ll be the first to tell you that clouded leopards are proof! Their cloud-like spots on their coat are just incredible. The different shapes and sizes, and the way that they fade from dark to light... I’m speechless lol. As someone who not only loves animals but also appreciates art, it doesn’t get better than this. God’s paintbrush is on full display here 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Aside from just being incredibly beautiful these cats are fascinating in other ways as well! They are as elusive as they are beautiful, leaving scientists with very little information on their habitats in the wild. What is that they are built for the trees. Their large paws and sharp claws make climbing and navigating their way through branches a piece of cake. They have short, powerful legs equipped with rotating rear ankles that allow them to safely downclimb in a headfirst posture—much like a common squirrel. Don’t get it twisted though, that’s where the squirrel comparisons end. Unlike squirrels, clouded leopard have massive canine teeth. The largest of any big cat (proportionate to body size of course😅) ! Between that beautiful coat and their unique skill set/traits, clouded leopard are certainly one of the marvels of the big cat family ‼️

This year was filled with so many incredible moments surrounded by so many incredible people. At the same time, it was also one of the toughest we have ever had. The highs we had were often met with a low that followed, but every time we were knocked down we got back up stronger. Life will forever be a mix of highs and lows, and I promise to always be here for you through it all. Whatever life throws our way, I know that together, we can handle it 🙏🏼

I believe we live in a world where humans and animals are meant to be connected. I also believe that somewhere along the line that connection was lost. Humans stopped respecting the animals and began to fear them instead. We expanded our territory onto their lands and had no remorse while destroying their homes. When the animals resisted or fought to save their land, they were killed. After all, destroying their homes led to more money for humans and isn’t that what matters most?? Some people sure think it does...

I realize that the past is the past and certain things can’t be undone. Expansion happened. Land was lost. Animals have been killed. As much as I hate it, some things just cannot be fixed, but there is still hope. Call me crazy, but what I believe can still change is the respect we as humans have for animals. If the respect is restored I believe that the connection can be as well.

Once that connection is back I do believe that people will then think twice about destroying the natural habitat of an animal or killing one because they fear it. My beliefs may be wrong and I may be hoping for something that will never come true, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop. I will forever stand beside the animals and show people the connection that can exist when animals are treated with love and respect. I don’t do this for money, I do this to hopefully make a difference.

Once that connection is back I do believe that people will then think twice about destroying the natural habitat of an animal or killing one because they fear it. My beliefs may be wrong and I may be hoping for something that will never come true, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to spend a day with a tiger in the snow? Well, now you know! 🐯❄️

Watching this little girl explore and adventure through the snow was incredible! Tigers always amaze me but seeing one move so effortlessly through this much snow was awesome. Not to mention it was SO cold outside, I had on multiple layers but she wasn’t even phased! Animals are built so tough and able to adapt to their environment in ways that humans can only imagine!

Tigers NEVER cease the amaze me. Their combination of size, strength, speed and agility make them the ultimate land predator in my eyes. Like with every animal though, they are so much more! I believe that humans often look at animals through one lens. We see their incredible physical traits and believe that’s all they are. This little girl has been shown nothing but love her entire life, and yes she likes to play, but at the end of the day it’s all love 💚

When I was 6 years old I wrote a book called “If I had a snow leopard.” The book included stories and pictures of what my life would look like if I had a snow leopard as a friend. I was back home recently and found this book packed away in a box in my parent’s basement, it’s a book I had completely forgotten existed.

When I found it, it made me tear up. Not because I was sad, but because 6 year old me would be so damn proud of the life I’m living today. Khaos here might not be a snow leopard, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m living the life I always dreamed of. A life that so many incredible people have helped and continue to help me achieve every day. Dreams don’t happen alone, but if you have a dream just know you can do it. When I wrote that book I was a 6 year old kid living in Kentucky, no one in my family had ever worked with big cats, but it was my dream and look where it took us 🙏🏼
