note to self: the mind will try to organize and make sense of everything but the path doesn’t open that way, it softens when you slow down and stop trying to control the outcome, when you become patient enough to receive what’s there, you’ve been learning to sit in that space without reaching or chasing, just allowing, and something begins to gather there, quiet at first but real, and what comes isn’t something you create, it’s something you become open enough to carry and share.

For a long time, I had this idea to stay with something long enough that it would start to reveal itself back to me. I remember telling @vacaynick years ago, I love how musicians live inside an album for months… sometimes years. I wanted that. Not just to make something, but to be with it. This piece was the first time it happened. Not forced. Not planned. It just kept asking me to return. Layer after layer. Pause after pause. Leaving it. Coming back. Listening more than doing. Somewhere in that rhythm, it shifted. And I felt it. Like something I had been reaching for finally reached back. I remember finishing it and just sitting there in stillness not from effort but from recognition. This is my favorite piece because it showed me what was possible. Not a result, but a way of being. Now I trust that process more. I don’t need to know where it’s going. I just stay with it. There’s something in that for all of us. The things that keep us stuck usually just want us to stay the same. Comfort can get a sneaky grip. But when you move slightly beyond it not forcefully, just honestly, something opens. Something real. I think that’s where the good in life lives.

Keep showing up. Keep putting in the time. You don’t need to chase it bc it knows when to meet you.

Note to self.
Layers build. Layers break. Layers reveal what was always underneath.
We think we’re adding. Becoming. Becoming more.
But often, we’re uncovering.
Peeling back what no longer fits. What was never ours. What kept us from seeing clearly.
There’s no final layer. No finished version.
Just unfolding. Again and again.
And in that unfolding, something surprising happens.
You find paths you didn’t know were there. You meet parts of yourself you hadn’t noticed before.
That’s where the joy lives. Not in arriving. But in discovering.
If you keep showing up, that’s enough.
Not perfectly. Not consistently. Just honestly.
You are not behind. You are not missing something.
You are already within it.
Love shows up in the middle of the process. In the small things. In the quiet moments we almost overlook.
What lights you up isn’t random.
Follow it. Gently. Without needing to know why.
You’ll find yourself in the right place more often than you think.
What if the unfolding is already leading you exactly where you need to be?

In a world that rewards speed, you have to slow down enough to be open to what the universe has to offer. If you’re not able to receive it, how can you share it?
