So this happened this morning. Leo noticed his name on daddy’s arm for the first time. Look at his reaction 😂

This reel isn’t just a show of my work, it’s a reflection of what’s shaped me. The highs, the stillness, the setbacks.

These frames carry a piece of that story, moments of light, love, progress, and a gentle nod to the unseen and unspoken.
I started making content as a way to create, but somewhere along the way it became something else.

A way to process.
To reconnect.
To ground myself and remember what truly matters.

Becoming a dad changed everything.
It taught me that strength isn’t found in what you hold back, it’s in what you allow yourself to feel.

That mental health isn’t a destination, it’s a discipline.
The daily act of showing up, of being present, of staying loyal to your values, and becoming the version of yourself you can be proud of.

If you’re somewhere in that space, rebuilding, reflecting, or just trying to keep moving, know that you’re not alone.
We’re all figuring it out, one frame, one step, one day at a time.

Even though there’s no flame. There is something about sitting by a fire pit, that just unlocks the conversation.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a podcast, where we just sit around the fire, peel back the layers and get into the real stuff.

Thoughts?

There’s a side of dementia people don’t talk about.

Walking in to your loved one’s room with hope.
Walking out with reality.

Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed.
It affects everyone who loves them.

To hear Ryan and Louise talk about dementia, listen to our latest episode at midnight. It will be available on Spotify, Apple Music or wherever you normally listen to your podcasts 🎧

AD This trip to the Lakes with @arladairyuk felt like a reminder that wellbeing can be so simple.

A few days of hiking in big landscapes, cold water dips in the lake, shared meals, long conversations, all shaped around the Icelandic idea that how we live fuels us just as much as what we eat.

I’ve eaten Arla Skyr for years, long before this trip. Because it tastes great, it’s naturally high in protein, fat free, and the kind of sustaining fuel that fits real life, whether that’s training, fatherhood, work, or mornings when life moves fast. But spending time with the brand gave me a deeper appreciation for its roots. Skyr has been part of Nordic life for centuries.

Simple food, made well.

What made this partnership feel natural to me is that it sits in territory I care about anyway. Resilience, connection, the outdoors, and the small rituals that support wellbeing. Things I talk about here all the time, and often in my Letters to Leo. So this never felt like stepping into someone else’s story, more like telling my own through a shared lens.

And I liked that this campaign wasn’t really about performance in the usual sense.

It was about energy in a broader sense. The kind that comes from moving your body. Being outdoors. Eating well. And slowing down enough to feel alive in what you’re doing.

That may have been my biggest takeaway from the trip.
Fuel isn’t just nutrition. It’s environment. Experience. People.

If you haven’t tried Arla Skyr, give it a go, especially if you’re looking for something naturally high in protein that fits easily into everyday life.

There’s something about cooking outdoors that just slows everything down.

No rush. No pressure to be anywhere else.Just good food, BBQ fired up, and time together.

For me, it’s not just about the BBQ itself. It’s the moments that form around it: long afternoons that roll into evenings, conversations, time together you didn’t plan, plates shared without thinking.

The sounds, the smells, the smoke catching the light, the sharp licks of the flame.

I’ve leaned into it more and more, not just in summer, but all year round.Because the feeling doesn’t change with the season.
And I’ve realised something: the easier something is to begin, the more often you return to it.
That goes for almost any good habit. Less friction. More ritual.
That’s what I like about gas. Twist. Ignite. Cook.Straight into the moment.

This, for me, is the dream setup: pizza on the table, something on the grill/BBQ/pizza oven, everyone just…relaxing.

The BBQ season never really ends.

Feeling inspired? Head over to Calor Instagram to enter their competition for the chance to kick-start your ultimate outdoor cooking adventure.

I was ten when I first clipped into skis.

He’s doing it now, at age four and I’m so excited that he gets to start this early.

One of my biggest ambitions as a dad, and I’m sure other dads will feel this, is that Leo grows up to be better than me at absolutely everything.

For now, it’s on me to give him a leg up.

I’m just stoked to be here.

We’ve just come back from a trip to Morzine. Our first time overseas, just me and Leo.

We’ve been before, when he was just two.
But if I’m honest… that trip should never have happened. Louise was too unwell, and my memory of it is a blur.

But this time felt different.

Filming moments on camera. Shooting on a Super 8. Watching Leo ski and shoot his first ever campaign, making friends with French kids mainly through snowballs fights and offers of sweeties (Haribo crocs).

This is a trip I’ll hold onto, and some of the photos I’ve got will be Christmas Card material for years to come.

This really is where his childhood meets my dreams.

This carousel is chapter one of a bigger story. @roarsome have given us the chance to create a new character, one that reflects Leo and his story as my son.

More on that soon…

I’ve written a letter to Leo, going out Tuesday, 7am. If you’re already part of it, you’ll see the full story there.

Any guesses what the character might be…?
