A massive thank you to everyone who participated in & joined us for our 20th anniversary.

We created this 24-hour conference—which ultimately lasted 33 hours!— to create a space where all of us together could form a larger voice, so we could see the sheer depth and range of professionals that we are in this global multimedia industry; where we could learn from each other to grow our community, and where technology could unite those of us who are far away. And we hope we achieved that.

Here’s to another 20 years together.

Yesterday’s day 2 at @mpts_london brought deep conversations on topics we never tire off including some great arguments - where’s the fun in agreeing on everything? There’s nothing quite like face-to-face time to spark new ideas.

A special mention: Jonny McClintock was an early supporter of Source Elements all the way back in 2006 when we worked together to integrate the APT-X codec into Source-Connect v2. I am grateful to conferences such as MTPS that bring us back in touch with colleagues who were so foundational in our early days.

In this @the_iamt Interview, Robert Marshall, Source Elements Co-Founder, spoke about a landmark development in remote audio collaboration: the industry’s first metadata-connected Dolby Laboratories Atmos remote review and collaboration tool. Robert explains how Source-Connect 4 streams up to 128 full channels including beds, objects, and spatial metadata directly to the Dolby Atmos Renderer, removing the need for a folded-down re-render and fundamentally changing what is possible for remote immersive mixing.

He also covers the new Source-Connect dedicated iPad app for voice actors.
