Tim Hecker
Peace/on/earth

📅 25.04.2026 — 27.09.2026
🎤 Actualización para charla inaugural:
Participan: Tim Hecker, Concepción Huerta y Guillermo García Pérez
📅 25.04.2026

Announcing BODY LIVE LIVE MUSIC at Topanga Tower
Part of LA Phil’s Ritual festival, curated by Esa-Pekka Salonen
Coproduced by LA Phil Insight, Liquid Music, and Studio Dimitri Chamblas
A pilgrimage. A progression.
BODY LIVE LIVE MUSIC transforms the decommissioned Topanga Tower into a living instrument, invoking sound and movement as part of a communal artistic rite. Conceived and directed by creative partners Kate Nordstrum and Dimitri Chamblas, the experience unfolds across terrain and architecture, guiding audiences from daylight into dusk in a deliberate progression of gathering, activation, and release.
From city to sea, body to horizon, gesture to vibration, BODY LIVE LIVE MUSIC at Topanga Tower offers an intensifying arc of visceral perception.
Spring 2027 performances. Program details to be announced in August.
More info at the link in bio.

Who was there for Tim Hecker & Vincent de Belleval’s performance at Rewire 2023?
This world premiere brought together the otherworldly music of Hecker – melding noise, dissonance, and melody in physical and emotive ways – with a large custom-made LED installation by multidisciplinary artist Vincent de Belleval. @sunblindstudios and de Belleval explored different ways to "break up the grid" and find new possible interactions between light and sound, and colour and texture through a combination of immense sounds and sights.
Look back at the performance through this video captured by @_nielsjohn.

Rest in peace Jonathan Sterne. Jonathan was a brilliant, funny, generous and very loving person. He was my main supervisor over the almost 8 years it took to finish my dissertation. He went far beyond anything that one would expect from a mentor role. He would often co-author articles with students to give them some help. He was there for students well after graduation. He loved cats and was a music gear nerd. Our shared awe of loud sound and audiophile blasphemy brought us together - grateful for this time on the earth.
