Recently emerging as one of Toronto’s most exciting live acts, the sullen yet danceable post-punk of @theovandenhoff is as much a pseudonymous outlet for frontman/auteur Theo Klaver as it is a sonic chopping block at the hands of Callum Crombie (guitar) and Tom Nixon (bass). Despite being based in Canada, their sound lends itself more to the sardonic European synthpop of Klaver’s heritage and the metallic Northern English cacophony of where Crombie and Nixon grew up.

After signing with Artoffact Records, Theo Vandenhoff released four singles: (Portrait of) Amàlia Rodrigues (Dec. 5, 2025), Wong Kar-wai (Jan. 23, 2026), April Showers (Feb. 20), and Sore (Mar. 13). Their debut album ‘Saviour on the Spilled Blood’ is out now.

@knurlalanbloor is the solo noise project of Alan Bloor, which began in 1994. Using only various metal pieces, contact microphones, and a handful of effects pedals, Bloor constructs violent and seething barrages of harsh noise that sound uniquely organic in texture and composition. Many of the project’s recordings have been featured on Bloor’s own Panta Rhei Recordings imprint, as well as Alien8, Xerxes, Deadline Recordings, Self Abuse Records, Skeleton Dust Recordings, New Forces, Pure, and many more. Knurl has also collaborated with notable musicians Jim O’Rourke and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. By not relying on too many effects or equipment, Knurl produces grating swaths of noise by carefully manipulating and coaxing natural sounds from his found metal instruments, making him a legend of Canadian noise and experimental music.

@jayfeelbender is a Toronto-based indie artist blending lo-fi nostalgia with raw emotional storytelling. His sound walks the tightrope between dream-state melancholy and gritty DIY realism, equal parts bedroom pop, garage rock, and analog daydream. With a name like a lost comic book anti-hero and a sound like a half-remembered summer, Jay Feelbender’s music lives in the liminal spaces: not quite asleep, not quite awake, always honest.

Just Announced! On Sept 22, @wavelengthmusic x Transmit Presents the Canadian musician behind Sunset Rubdown and Moonface, co-frontman of Wolf Parade, songwriting member of Swan Lake, and keyboardist for Frog Eyes and Fifths of Seven, Spencer Krug.

Something less rock-oriented, something more quiet and introverted. Returning to his first and favourite instrument, the piano, Krug has ventured back into his own fantastic world of pseudo-classical balladeering; poetic lyricism laced with twisted pop sensibility and jazz mimicry.
