Meet Heather She, the first of our two djs for the night. With a career spanning multiple labels, including Strut and Mr Bongo, and coordinating releases from a huge range of genres and backgrounds, Heather will be turning up the heat with a diverse mix of styles - disco, funk, psych, electronic, to keep you absolutely bound to that dance floor. Heather’s funky set will be accompanied by hypnagogic live visuals by @willstowdela

Meet Jim A. Burns, a brand new project from the musician behind the granular, haunting sounds of robinson’s village.Burns possesses the whole room with rich, textured sound and a distinct mood, perhaps described best by titles of playlists Burns heavily features in - ‘uncanny valley-core’, ‘analog horror-core’, ‘backrooms-core’, ‘cold-core’, ‘fog-core’. Jim A. Burns’ glacial, fuzzy modular soundscape will be accompanied by glitchy live visuals by @willstowdela

Meet Religious Figures, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Isaac Ides, accompanied by transcendent visuals from Emma Walker. He takes the same mindful, meditative approach to music as he does his oil paintings. Each sustained note carries meaning and emotion.
It is 2028. Nationalism is at its peak and Britain is at war. A boy sits at his desk.
Why should he study for his GCSEs, while his military conscription letter lies torn open beside his copy of Macbeth?
This September, ThirdSpace Theatre offers a visually explosive, passionate and unique production of this seminal story.

After last night’s blackout, the spotlight is back on @hclaytonwright and the cast for tonight’s performance of Mr Blackpool 🔦

We can’t wait to welcome you to Attenborough Centre for the show this evening and tomorrow, Saturday 9 May. Our ACCA Cafe bar will be open and serving drinks from 7pm.

"We need more theatre like this"
Audiences at @batterseaartscentre loved Second Trimester and we can't wait for it to hit Attenborough Centre this Monday 11 May for one very special performance as part of @brightonfestival.
In Second Trimester, trans performance artist @krishnaistha and his mother, Geetha Shankar, confront pregnancy, loss, gender, and the weight of inherited memories.
Using cameras, projections and a bespoke coded interface built for the show, Geetha and Krishna make live choices each night together, constructing a cinematic, Bollywood-inspired epic family saga.
Book now at the link in our bio.
Are you ready to witness an endearing relationship that will leave you feeling cherished? Meet mother and child,@krishnaistha & Geetha Shankar, who are bringing Second Trimester to @BrightonFestival next week!
Second Trimester is a performance exploring how four years ago, Krishna told his mum he was trying to get pregnant and she freaked out. Like, massively freaked out. Krishna didn’t know why. It’s rare for a fight between them to end in tears. But this one did. . . and for good reason.
Love triangles. Missing people. A pregnant son. A show you don't want to miss.

What can audiences expect from Mr Blackpool? 🤔
With just a week to go until opening night, we asked @hclaytonwright what delights await attendees of his theatrical extravaganza.
Expect cabaret, magic, dance, drag and pyro. This is cultural archaeology and satire at its campiest, presented in lurid technicolor 🌈

Second Trimester by @krishnaistha and his mother, Geetha Shankar, is a tale of two generations and endless drama.
In a break from rehearsals, Krishna and Geetha risked more intergenerational conflict when they played a game of 'Most likely to...' but ended up giving us a glimpse of the beautiful bond between the two that is apparent on stage.
Catch them both at Attenborough Centre on Monday 11 May as part of @brightonfestival
