A new chapter for learning at Creative Folkestone ✨

From Wednesday 27 May, most of our learning activities will move from Block 67 at The Glassworks to The Cube - creating more space for workshops and creativity across the Creative Quarter.

Young Animators, Adult Workshops and School Workshops will all take place at The Cube, beside F51 Indoor Skate Park.

Our Family Drop-In Workshops will also move to a new home in the Lower Atrium at The Glassworks from Saturday 20 June.

While locations are changing, our commitment to accessible, creative learning for all ages remains the same. We can’t wait to welcome you into these new spaces and continue growing together through creativity.

Join us at The Grand on Sunday 31 May for a screening of two films – M.R. (2021) and The Meeting (2025) – by Folkestone-born artist @jyll.bradley, reflecting on her experience of childhood adoption. These will be followed by a conversation between the artist and former Folkestone Triennial curator @creativefstone, Lewis Biggs.

Jyll Bradley works across installation, photography, sculpture, film and performance and her iconic installation Green/Light (for M.R.) was commissioned by Creative Folkestone for the Folkestone Triennial in 2014. A photographic work from Bradley’s series of youthful self-portraits dressed as Orlando from the Virginia Woolf novel is currently on display in The Green Room at The Grand.
