@sitgrit works WITH THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY to design inclusive, research-driven programs through community co-design.

We shot a very basic proof of concept pilot,with my amazing friend and collaborator, @allfog for fundraising purposes last year, and now, that we have some fundraising...

We want to hear from families (Parents & Kids!) and educators so we can develop the perfect adaptive physical education video content for kids of all abilities, that fosters physical health, confidence, and belonging, while teaching essential social-emotional skills like empathy and inclusion.

Our listening sessions will be small, one-hour virtual group sessions.A $40 Stipend will be provided for participation.

What we hope to learn:
How kids with physical disabilities experience PE & movement

What feels empowering and what feels exclusionary

Where belonging is happening and where it is missing

What truly accessible movement should look like.

Who do we want to hear from?

Parents and caregivers

This is such a beautifully told story, and as a former bat mitzvah girl who was still playing with dolls at my bat mitzvah myself...this whole story, and the aesthetic of being stuck between being a “kid” and a “woman” as a tween, feels so real.
