on may 23rd in progress ↺ brings you our second edition, a cozy evening of lush textural sound sculpture, ambient, downtempo, and deep listening at @spirethechurch in oakland

☆ oakland based fiber installation and performance artist, @swilkwork, connects people to the gestures of resilience that emerge from grief, particularly in the context of queer history. they will be performing a special improvised solo performance (recently debuted at nyfw) in conjunction with a dj set by in progress host shapes.

☆ sf based via new york dj, @babymfleo, will be joining us for a special two hour set.

the @dripping.fyi co-founder amalgamates a lifetime immersed in underground music into thrillingly twisted dj sets. he draws from a web of radical influences: a decade as frontman for the landmark death metal band Animosity; years working at the forefront of psychedelics in cultivation and sonic healing; and deep immersion in NYC and SF’s thriving rave and sound system subcultures. with an emphasis on pure physicality, baby leo shows music’s potential for radical liberation and the sublime joy of authentic human connection.

in progress ↺ brings you our inaugural event, a cozy evening of lush textural sound sculpture, ambient, and deep listening at @spirethechurch in oakland.

unfortunately, sobolik will no longer be able to play the show this friday, but we’re excited to announce that @raven_dx7 will be joining us at spire.

☆ we were lucky to experience raven’s dreamy live sets at both @osmosis__world and @dripping.fyi. expect warped synthesizer tones and flickering drum patterns. their new release“GNOSIS” is a bold and new exploration into raven’s timeless and immersive world.

☆ coming off their closing set at osmosis in the trees, sf based @kk.shucko brings their hybrid set to the bay. first debuted in nyc, their performance is an ongoing work that seeks to materialize the quiet rapture of ambient and trance.
