In 2019 I remember questioning myself in this space. Then @chanelle.wang came along and reinvigorated my belief in myself with this opportunity to be a part of her beautifully written and nuanced short film. Then tag on amazingly wonderful director @roxyshih and the storytelling eye of @daphneqinwu and it was a no brainer.

I have such fond memories of this film and the experience that came with it. The crew made all the difference, especially with most key positions being women, all just combining their crafts to tell a story. When I tell you it was the most nurtured and cared for I’ve ever felt on a set to help me open up to the vulnerabilities that had to come through in story.

I’m eternally grateful to the people involved in helping this story come to life.

Gotta love the process. I’m already cringing at things I could improve (eyeline 👀) but in turn gotta celebrate the opportunity to do what I love. We, as artists, are blessed in that sense. :)

This scene was one line in the script.

@carlosramzeyramirez took what was an under-thought, throwaway joke and made one of the liveliest and electrifying scenes in the movie. @byronscottadams and @introducingdeyo brought the jam to life with a perfect sense of “let’s keep the groove and see what happens.”

The result is a true head banger original. Sound may have her thoughts, but we love this jam.

Very late to post, but I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work on Matlock. This one was special, the original Matlock with Andy Griffith was one of my Lola's favorite shows while I was growing up. I hope I was able to make her proud up there.

What made this even more special was being able to work with the freaking awesomely skillful @marie_jamora !! It was a pleasure to be in a scene alongside #SamAnderson while being directed by a fellow Pilipino! 🇵🇭
