When I first stepped into SVN West's main ballroom, I was astounded by the sheer size. I had worked plenty of large scale gigs as a tech and stagehand, but never designed one myself. I'd only just made the leap to Keep Hush x Vitamin1000, Squish's Portola After Party, and Endzeit x Parameter from smaller installs at UGSF, F8, and Yerba Buena. This was an order magnitude greater than I've done before.

I am honored that Nick asked me to be a part of this huge undertaking and for his trust in my vision. It would not be possible without the stagehands that took time to build this with me, and my laserists Jeff and Garrett. Shoutout to Jeff for bringing two additional 24w lasers and for his invaluable input on the design. When I first stepped into SVN West's main ballroom, I was astounded by the sheer size. I had worked plenty of large scale gigs as a tech and stagehand, but never designed one myself. I'd only just made the leap to Keep Hush x Vitamin1000, Squish's Portola After Party, and Endzeit x Parameter from smaller installs at UGSF, F8, and Yerba Buena. This was an order magnitude greater than I've done before.

In a time when culture feels more mixed than ever, and where labels are often treated as something negative, I still believe they have their place. For those of us who love the purity of different genres and subgenres, labels were never meant to limit anything. They were a way to exchange culture, to buy records, to dig through the right crates and know where to find what you were looking for.

That is why, when a club or festival invites me to develop one of my parallel projects, such as Trolley Route or Dr Smoke, I take it as an opportunity to bring out a side of my work that is not always present every weekend.

@parameter_sf in San Francisco invited me to play a Trolley Route DJ set, within a great line-up, for a knowledgeable crowd, and under the right conditions for the set to become exactly what it was: a very strong personal experience.

It was a huge step for us with three different venues over four nights.

The festival was independently produced by many teams of passionate local community members.

We couldn't be more proud of everyone who came together and collaborated on this event. We'll be forever thankful to them and to all who came out to support and make it possible.

After a short break, we'll be taking our time to reflect on what we need to improve on for next time, and gathering feedback from attendees. We appreciate everyone's patience and support as we push the limits of this project.
