“Our group is called Subatomic Sound System and the whole idea behind it is sound systems do something unique. But what’s special about our sound system… Everyone’s gotta be the best, you gotta aspire to be the best. But what makes us the best is that we’re doing a live dub improvisational mix. Dub’s normally a studio thing, and this is something we’re doing live. I hope people see that and hear that. It’s not just DJ’ing or someone karaokeing over a track, it’s an interaction between technology and live human beings.”

Founded by @subatomic outta NYC and started in Vienna in cooperation with @dubblestandart over a decade ago, this festival series was brought to life to promote dub from the classic reggae roots to future 21st century bass music for audiences around the globe.

The Festival has visited many venues in North America, Canada and Europe and now returns to Vienna, where it already had 3 successful, sold-out runs.
