You can now find us in The Collector 2026 for @countryandtownhouse

Featuring a residential project we worked on for @brianwoulfe in London. Using the TM SlimLight Pro Picture Lights we brought light to a contemporary art collection in Little Venice.

The period conversion was designed by Brian Woulfe and marries the old with the new to create a timeless aesthetic.

Our SlimLight Pro was designed to modernise traditional picture lights miniaturising our LED technology into a sleek and slender profile for contemporary collections and interiors.

The SlimLight Pro offers even illumination and high colour rendition, displaying the full spectrum of colour within each artwork.

It’s always a pleasure to work with Brian and his team and we’re thrilled to be in The Collector supplement for @countryandtownhouse once again 💫

The RIBA Award-Winning revitalisation of L’ecurie at Dorfold Hall.

At the 17th century Jacobean manor Dorfold, TM Lighting worked with Dorfold’s owners, the Roundells; architect Zoë Polya-Vitry; and conservation specialists to beautifully illuminate L’Ecurie, which was awarded the RIBA North West Award 2023 as well as the RIBA North West Building of the Year Award 2023.

Polya-Vitry’s vision was to merge the architectural heritage of the disused stables with an extraordinary revitalization of its interiors, creating a contemporary-styled event suite for weddings, exhibitions and conferences.

With Polya-Vitry’s vision guiding them, TM Lighting’s luminaires seamlessly blend contemporary lighting techniques with the venue’s traditional aesthetics. TM ZeroSixty LED accent lights are mounted on recessed tracks affixed to the vaulted ceiling and are custom finished in gold to match the existing brass details.

The mounting system is entirely hidden from view allowing the architectural design to stand unimpeded. At eye-level, the original brickwork is illuminated by the TM Linear Graze, enabling the light to catch on the subtle textures and hues of the brick emphasising the structure’s historic fabric.

Attached to the main event space is the newly converted Tack Room which takes on the feel of a modern New York City loft with its striking sleek grey interiors that are complemented by TM Lighting’s suspended art mains track which was left exposed and painted black to engage in a dynamic contrast with the space.

The interiors are entirely lit using TM’s GalleryOneThirty offering the highest possible colour rendition in LED (98+ CRI) that enable a balance between artificial light and the natural light provided through the room’s porte-fenêtre windows.

A temporary hanging exhibition we lit for @audley_end_house recently.

The beautiful @englishheritage house has a wonderful collection that we are always privileged to bring to light with our products.

Retaining the history and story of the building and bringing out the sumptuous and rich colour palettes of the old masters works with our expert techniques and focussing.

Browse our art lighting products on our website to bring to light your project or exhibition.

Last night we hosted our ‘In Conversation’ with exhibiting artist Carmen Mardonez, led by writer and editor, Francesca Perry with TF Chan (Director of Collect).

Carmen Mardonez | Chromatic Solace
presented by Hannah Payne Art

Carmen shared her love of colour, expression, and function, and how her practice has evolved in scale and concept since moving to the UK and becoming a mother.

In front of the 6m wide textile piece, the speakers reflected on their personal responses. The artist and speakers also talked about the success of the lighting in drawing out the bright colours and individual threads that make up Carmen’s work.

This event celebrated our ongoing relationship with Collect, which we’re proud to keep developing.
Thank you to all of our contributors.

Full exhibition info via the link in bio. On view until 26 June. 🧵

Earth Day 🌍

We’ve been reflecting on a principle that continues to guide us: good lighting should be considered, responsible, and made to last, for the artwork, and environment in which it sits.

Design responsibility and the long-term impact of lighting decisions is a conversation that feel more relevant than ever. For us, it often comes back to one simple question: when did we first realise the power of light not just to illuminate, but to transform?

For us that moment came at Goodwood House in the early stages of TM Lighting. A poorly lit painting was reimagined using our first picture light prototype, revealing detail, depth, and a completely new visual experience. That approach went on to define the Goodwood range.

Since then, our work has helped reduce energy use by up to 90% while delivering museum-quality illumination across UK stately homes.

While natural light is beautiful, it can also damage. Our focus is on protecting artworks, ensuring they can be enjoyed for generations to come.

A reminder this Earth Month: less, applied better, is often more. More sustainable. More responsible. Better for preservation.

Thrilled to announce an extension of our current exhibition at TM Gallery with @desbordado presented by @hannah_payne_art

Now on view until 26 June 2026 🧵 🪡

A solo exhibition of work by Chilean textile artist Carmen Mardonez, presented by Hannah Payne Art at TM Gallery, from 20 March – 26 June 2026.

Working across large-scale embroidered works, sculptural textiles and installation, Mardonez reimagines embroidery as a contemporary visual language shaped by colour, gesture and material presence. Now based in Oxford, the artist draws on experiences of place and light, from the saturated hues of Los Angeles to the atmospheric rhythms of the Northern Lights, to create immersive, emotionally resonant environments.

At the heart of Chromatic Solace is making as a form of refuge. Colour becomes a space of safety and intimacy, while layered, freehand stitches build expansive surfaces that invite close, bodily engagement. Using discarded domestic textiles such as bedsheets and clothing, the works carry traces of shared lives, care and labour, asserting embroidery as a site of autonomy, tenderness and creative freedom.

The exhibition presents a new six-metre-wide embroidered installation shown publicly for the first time, alongside works from the artist’s ongoing Textildermy series and a sculptural wall-hung textile piece. The works are lit using TM Lighting’s high colour rendition lighting, bringing depth, colour and texture vividly to life.

As part of the gallery programme, TM Gallery will present an Artist Talk with Carmen Mardonez in conversation with TF Chan, Director of Collect, at TM Gallery on Weds, 29 April. The talk will be moderated by writer and journalist Francesca Perry. Register your interest via email or link in our bio.

Read our latest Artist Spotlight interview with current exhibiting artist at TM Gallery, Carmen Mardonez.

Our mission has always been to celebrate the transformative power of light. For over a decade, we’ve brought world-class lighting solutions to some of the most prestigious artworks and curatorial projects around the world. But our commitment goes beyond illumination—through our not-for-profit exhibition space, TM Gallery, we’ve cultivated a dynamic programme of contemporary art exhibitions, talks, and events. This space serves as a vital platform for mid-career artists, presented in collaboration with leading galleries and curators.

Our Artist Spotlight series offers a glimpse into the minds of these artists—sharing the ideas, processes, and inspirations that shape their work.

Dive deeper into Carmen’s solo exhibition ‘Chromatic Solace’ at TM Gallery. The Chilean-born, Oxford-based textile artist discusses the evolution of her practice, her distinctive process of “painting” with thread, and the materials that underpin her work.

The interview explores her use of repurposed domestic textiles, the development of a new six-metre installation created following her residency at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, and the ways colour, place and scale shape her approach to making.

With thanks to Hannah Payne for conducting the interview.

Carmen Mardonez | ‘Chromatic Solace’ runs until 5 June 2026 at TM Gallery, 7 Cubitt Street, London WC1X 0LN.

The longer daylight hours bring joy for everyone, but in our art lighting specialism, it also changes how natural light interacts with artworks.

At this time of year, curators, galleries, and collectors must consider how sunlight might wash out colours, create glare, or cast shifting shadows on paintings, sculptures, or installations.

This is where our team at TM comes into its own as we Bring Art To Light with our museum-grade products, private and public spaces across the UK and internationally.

☀️ We’re proud to make and assemble all of our products in London

☀️ We’re excited to be working up and down the country and internationally with private clients and institutions on their art lighting priorities - from heat and UV, exhibition planning, to mood and atmosphere and energy efficiency.

☀️ You can find us in @houseandgardenuk and recommended by designers, architects and curators for our quality of service and products.
