The Sparkling Sake Brewery
The Sparkling Sake Brewery was founded on a core principle of Japanese aesthetics: capturing and expressing the beauty of impermanence.
Established in 2021 by Naoki Toyota, The Sparkling Sake Brewery, based in Cambridgeshire, UK, is the world's only brewery solely dedicated to producing sparkling sake.
Each bottle we create engages all five senses-appearance, aroma, taste, and the sound and texture of the bubbles. These delicate bubbles are naturally formed through a second fermentation in the bottle, ensuring they are captured at their freshest. The ongoing fermentation within the sealed bottle allows you to savour the fleeting beauty of nature, much like the ephemeral cherry blossom season.

I began traveling to Ukraine from a vague question: what is war, really?

Since then,

I have been writing articles to capture what Thave felt there in my own words.

It was February 2022,

my fifth year as a working adult,

when news of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine came into the newsroom where I worked.

Thad grown somewhat accustomed to my job,

and without really noticing.

Thad settled into the rhythm of everyday life.

Yer each time I followed the news,

I found myself wondering:

what is daily life like for people living in a country at war?

What thoughts and emotions do they carry with them as they go about their lives?

I wanted to experience it myself and share what I felt. It was also the moment when my long-held, vague longing to live abroad found a clear purpose.

Last year,

I visited two cities-Lviv and Kyiv-on two separate trips. For people in Lviv, the war felt distant; for those in Kyiv, it was something much closer, almost next door.

Even within Ukraine, the way people perceived the war differed.

This was something I could only understand by being there.

This month, I plan to visit Kharkiv in the east, close to the Russian border.

I don’t know how long I’ll be able to continue this work.

The next trip might be my last. With that in mind, I wrote this article as a culmination of my working holiday in London.

If those who read it can refleet on their own lives, even for a moment, and find something to think about, that would mean a lot to me.

Vinyl selectors who read the room, not just the tracklist.

Vendors who make things with their hands and their hearts.

A crowd that showed up ready to actually talk.

The name comes from "Azas"

Japanese street slang for arigatou gozaimasu.

Gratitude, compressed into two syllables.

It's the code. The handshake. The whole point.

One year in. Seven events deep

The connections made here weren't accidental.

They never are.

In one of the loneliest cities in the world - AZAZ makes connection inevitable.

TFT (Table From Three)

is a DJ collective formed by three individuals

who met in London.

Their story began exactly a year and half ago in
November,

when the three first crossed paths at The Bath House.

Since officially starting their activities in February 2025,

they have been based in their own studio in London.

Beyond their DJ performances,

TFT dedicates itself to creating spaces

where audiences can immerse themselves in sound,

connect with one another,

and enjoy music wholeheartedly.

They are also deeply involved in organizing and hosting events that bring people together.

Through these gatherings,

TFT

continues to explore

how music can inspire,

unite,

and move people on a deeper level.
