#TheVampireLestat star Sam Reid tells EW he was asked to learn the piano before the writers had a change of tune.

"I was like, 'I really think he's got to be a singer,'" the actor says, before showrunner Rolin Jones finally agreed. "I don't know when it happened for him, but it definitely clicked at a certain point. He went full in."

Perhaps his change of heart had a little something to do with what being a modern day rocker could mean for the 265-year-old vamp. "We thought, what's the worst thing we could do to Lestat to put him through the ringer? Force him to be a rock star in 2025 when no one gives a s--- about rock and roll," Jones says.

It's not the first time the two celebs have played up their uncanny likeness. They also twinned during a 2014 episode of the 'Tonight Show' where they had a drum-off while also dressed identically.

"I was going through some form of psychosis. I went through it so bad in All Stars, while filming.
