Stoked to be partnering with The Whitecap Collective for 2026 and beyond.
Getting to work with @whitecap, @tyaxadventures, and @coastrangeheliskiing feels unreal. The terrain and opportunities seem endless, and I’m really looking forward to some all-time trips right in my backyard.
I’m also excited about what this opens up creatively. New zones and more chances to keep pushing my skiing, biking, and filmmaking in ways I’ve always wanted to.
Really grateful for the support and proud to be part of the team.

A mountain man in the truest sense of the word.
Ron Andrews has been the constant in the McGillivray Valley for over 40 years, stewarding the land, the lodge, and the spirit of this place.
He’s the soul of what Whitecap Alpine is today, and continues to be. The kind of person who knows every corner, every quirk, and somehow always has a fix.
Hard working doesn’t quite cover it. Legend doesn’t quite feel big enough either.
Ron has been a mentor, a problem solver, and a steady presence for every staff member who’s come through the lodge. Nothing here runs quite the same without him.
Grateful for everything you’ve built, held, and passed on. Please wish him a huge Happy Birthday! @andrews.ron

Whitecap Alpine 2025/2026 recap. What a season.
75 days. 220+ meals. Countless early mornings, long days, and a lot of heart poured into this place.
Being a personal chef isn’t easy, but it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Especially with a team like this.
Ski touring through unreal terrain week after week. Feeding incredible guests. Sharing stories, laughs, and seriously good meals. It doesn’t get lost on me how special that is.
Huge thank you to our guests for bringing the best energy into the lodge. You’re the reason it all works.
To Lars, Rachel, Hayden, Frank, all the Whitecap guides and caretakers, and of course my fellow Chefs and kitchen team, Chantel and Clint, thank you for the trust, the collaboration, and for building something that brings real joy and comfort to people.
10+ years in as a private chef and still learning every season. Feeling lucky to build a life around food and mountains, alongside my path in forestry and silviculture.
Spring is always a shift. For years it meant heading straight into tree planting. Now it looks like a mix of event cooking and getting back into the bush as a forest tech, with my forest nerd goggles on.
Too many highlights and favourite meals to capture here.
Cheers to another great season.
And of course, another great day.

The first one up and the last one to leave the kitchen, today we celebrate this lovely lady.
Happy Birthday to the woman, the myth, the culinary magician, Rosie. She’s the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager who manages to turn a remote alpine lodge into a world class bistro every single night.
Rosie, thank you for the passion you pour into every plate and the energy you bring to the lodge!
