Last year March of 2025 when the @thejunoawards were held in Vancouver, I was invited to a South Asian writing camp put on by @jashimaw of @_odeto_ & @keepclarity in partnership with the support@amazonmusiccan @amazonmusic .
I’m actually not the biggest fan of these writing camps but this was different.It’s always been a career long goal of mine to make a contribution to the South Asian music space but on my own musical terms.I’ve never been one for following the trends or being a “copy cat” producer.So this was a perfect scenario for me, they put me in a room with two artistwho shared the same vision as I did .We@ramyapothuri & @joshsahunta had a lengthy conversation about always being the ones who never fit in :) through a lot of laughs and mutual admiration, SUBSIDE came to life & now it’s yours exclusively on the Amazon Platform.Peace to all the people who came together to make this happen especially Jashima, KC , @its.asmi & apologies for anyone I left out .New friendships were made in a safe and open space that you guys facilitated.

Respect to all the South Asian artist who are out there putting their focus on great art & not trying to fit into a mold .The world is totally yours.

Thank you again to all the people at @amazonmusic .I came from a world where there was no space for Indian artist to be seen or heard & now the world is listening and seeing what we have on our hearts & minds .Bless up & keep pushing this mandate forward .

There is anemptiness in our family now — a space that can never truly be filled. There is no replacing the irreplaceable. Aunty (Mom, Amachi) was alight thatfilled a room with joy & laughter. She craved connection with every member of the family and made it her mission to make sureeach person felt seen and heard.

She was always on the phone — speaking to a relative in India, Australia, or someone just around the corner. No distance was too great when it came to staying connected. She showed her love boldly and deeply: through her sense of humor , her incredible cooking, and her sincere desire to know each grandchild and son-in-law personally. The way she nurtured those relationships was truly inspiring.

Her bond with her husband and daughters felt almost telepathic. She understood their hearts and minds in a way only she could — with an intuition rooted in deep & boldlove.

Aunty loved with her whole heart. Her faith in God was unshakeable, woven into every decision she made, every journey she took, every word she spoke, and every song she sang (we’re still trying to figure out what key those were in lol ).

Listening to the children speak about her as we gathered around her bedside in her final hours was a testament to the woman she was. They spoke with pride, each sharing their own treasured memories. She left an undeniable mark on every one of their hearts.

Aunty, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Your l live on in & through every member of the family

Dis-Moi is a song that I created with my friend @maude__13 who is a French Canadian singer songwriter, that lives in Vancouver .We met at a street concert in 2024 & shortly started creating together .
It was such a pleasure to work on aswe both wanted the same thing, something that felt like @feistmusic meets @sade meets @longhotsummerstsc (The Style Council.It was a seamless experience & I really respect the care and thought she puts into her art.

Along with the song comes this video directed & produced by my friend @onecent_pennyy .Nothing brings me more inspiration & joy when the visual for a song looks exactly how the song sounds .You can see the whole video on YouTube see the link in my bio.

I’m posting this right now because I just saw the entire video for the first time. I’m super excited for these lads, over the top inspired & so grateful that they (@daysormay ) & I collaborate the way we do.It’s seamless & everyone is in it for the right reason, THE MUSIC!

My family was watching the funeral of a relative in Kerala when a Catholic priest began reciting a verse in Malayalam. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure it was from the Book of Psalms. His voice completely captivated me—so I pulled out my iPhone and recorded it.

The next day, I took it into the studio and cooked this up.

As an artist, I love this time that we’re living in.Bridges are being built., the evolution of sound is taking place right now, in front of our ears and eyes, the industry of music doesn’t holdthe sameimportance as it did once.There’s a light shining on every ethnicity and pretty much every culture on the planet, & there’s not a thingthe record business can do about it .We’re no longer fed what we take in, in fact it’s the other way around.What a Time!

My good brother@yanchanproduced & I are an example of this . We did our first session ever & creativity was flowing.This is us just starting a vibe .We made of 5 or 4 of these !Between laughing, sharing the commonalities of our culture & obviously eating good food .We forged a bond andcooked nuff chuuune (that’s toronto for we made a lot of music lol)

I was part of a trio called Bass is Base with @rogermooking & @ivanasantilli .
This is a post of pure gratitude.I am lucky for that journey & for all the joy it gave people.Til this day those songs get played on the radio, til this day no matter where I am I get stopped by random people, who thank me/us for the memories the music gave them .You just can’t put a price on that .It’s just proof, that creating from pure intentions leads to goodness .The only magic in all this is the art that’s where the God (love) energy resides.A lot of things have changed but that still remains .So once again thank you for listening & for supporting it was a wonderful way to start this journey that I’m still on .
