MATER.
The resilience of matter.

A circular sanctuary born from what remains. In the historic Courtyard of the Statale University, MATER by Alessandro Scandurra reclaims wounded elements to define a space of protection and rebirth.

Inspired by the reconstruction in Ukraine, the installation transforms ruins into a silent dialogue between trauma and hope. Through a symphony of light and structural essentiality, the debris is recomposed into an annular embrace, a beacon of generative principle where memory meets the future.
