Dear listener,
this mix is dedicated to my driving desire for mixing & dancing to techno;
— in all its emotional, futuristic, freaky, sassy shapes & colors.

This is the final mix I recorded in our beloved studio at Urbanstr. 113. I spent over a year mixing these records & this set feels like the closest I’ve come to expressing my vision of techno as pure positivity, energy & freedom. With this mix, I sense a new awareness in my DJing, opening my mind & igniting a fierce curiosity for what I will play next.

I believe in track-listing my sets to support artists & labels, empower DJs & dance floors, & pass on the love I’ve received from others.

Thanks to the Chicago & Detroit dance music culture, & to the special ones growing strong branches from its roots.

He has hosted some of Berlin’s most memorable underground events, including FUNKY SOUL (formerly @repeatbar), ACID BABIES (@zur_klappe), RHYTHMS FROM THE MOTHERLAND, and CLUB NATURE @kaosberlin at secret locations & across the city. His sets are a seamless journey through Disco, Deep House, and Acid, honoring the rich heritage of Chicago and Detroit while keeping the dance floor alive with unexpected twists and grooves.

Mininik draws deep inspiration from the Black, Latin American, and Queer nightlife communities of the late ’70s–’90s in Chicago, Detroit, and New York—the pioneers who shaped Disco, House, and Techno into the universal languages they are today. He approaches music with a spiritual mindset, an open heart, and a smile, constantly learning from the roots while sharing the boundless love, energy, and freedom this music has given him.

Haverdi @haverdi__ a rising force in Tbilisi’s disco-house scene since 2022, known for Afro-disco, soulful house, and Italo blends — having shared stages with Folamour, Breakbot & Irfane, and Eternal Love.

Mat Fink @matfinkflow Berlin-based DJ, producer, and event curator, brings energetic and soulful vinyl storytelling spanning soul, funk, house, and techno.

Mini Nik @mini.nik.patrick vinyl DJ, producer, and curator behind underground institutions like Funky Soul, Acid Babies, and Club Nature, channels the legacy of Chicago, Detroit, and New York’s Black, Latin American, and queer nightlife — blending disco, deep house, and acid with a spiritual mindset.

Will o, host of one the best underground parties in Berlin, Rhythms from the Motherlands, commands the dancefloor with deep house and spiritual jazz textures, guiding dancers into trancey, meditative flow.

Finally, Do You Know Juno, @doyouknowjuno.music host and curator of Burnin’ to Blue, crafts narrative-driven sets that balance timeless musicality with a contemporary edge, infusing acoustic jazz and soulful rhythm while guiding the collective journey of the night.

ACID BABIES return to Zur Klappe @zur_klappe on Friday, September 12th.

A late summer night of raw grooves, deep rhythms, and collective release on the dance floor.

For this edition, we welcome a special guest: Manolo @___manolo_________ , a sound engineer, DJ, and Producer based in Berlin. His eclectic and rawstyle has brought him to be able to play various clubs, festivals, and DIY dance floors around Europe and The United States such at the The Sound Room at Public Records and Saule/ Ostgut. His sound is focused on Disco, boogie, 80's and 90s. Whether Manolo is slowly and soulfully warming up a dancefloor or beatin down the speakers, he is often taking inspiration from the sound of the dancefloors such as The Muzik Box, Paradise Garage, Zanzibar, and The Loft.The easiest way to summarize his taste is that he plays music for adults.

Alongside him, our residents Hideto Omura @hidetoomura and Mini Nik @mini.nik.patrick return to the booth to channel the spirit of classic Chicago house and timeless dancefloor energy.

And at the door, we’re in good hands: the radiant @joy_tyson_ will be welcoming you with all the charm and energy that sets the tone just right.
