A couple weeks ago I took these photos of @bucketdead ‘s show at @sonyhall in NYC. Being honest I was kinda insecure because I was shooting with a 400ISO film and I thought the lights weren’t strong enough to capture movement.

The beauties you see here are a treasure to me, particularly the lens. I found them both in Bogotá, Colombia, during a trip I took a year ago, where I took the opportunity to do some “analog tourism” 🎞️

I fell in love with the Canon AE-1 at first sight and bought it immediately, but the lens... I remember I was just leaving the shop when I took one last look around, and right there on the bottom shelf, tucked behind several generic lenses, sat this beauty. I recall having seen it only on blogs and in a very few videos online, because, truth be told, it was quite a rare find. The lens is a Canon FD 35-70 f/4, which is particularly unique because it holds the distinction of being the very first lens in history to feature an integrated autofocus system. Designed in 1981, it is notoriously difficult to find in working condition, so, to my surprise, this one was completely functional. These photos and videos are the very first test shots I took with the pair as soon as I arrived back in NYC. I’ve used the camera quite a bit since then, but I’ve kept the lens safely tucked away, waiting for an occasion worthy of bringing it out. Perhaps that day will come soon 👀.

SNOWDAY IN NYC❄️🗽

I had a mission this morning, going fast to NYC from NJ to buy a new camera and come back as fast as possible. Sandly, the stores was closed but in the midtime I remember I brought with me both of my Insta360s camera. I had to be fast because I couldnt miss the train because they were cancelling them. NYC THROUGH MY EXAKTA📷👁️🔬

I got this 70 year old gem a couple months ago and this is my very first time shooting with it. This Exakta Varex was considered one of the best cameras ever made the moment it was released.
