✨FINALLY✨the video is here! I have been so excited about this. It’s been wonderful to collaborate with Nicolee and Cheruto on this project over the last nine months or so and to see it the ideas unfold. Being in control of the potential that your body has and using that potential for self-expression was a theme that occurred in our conversations about the video. So seeing the talents in this video interpret my track with their individual ways of expression, to me, is very special. I’m super grateful that it was possible to carry the whole thing out. So thank you to the whole crew and the incredible talents in this video.

This film is a collaboration between Splash Pattern and filmmakers Nicolee Tsin and Cheruto Wang. A cultural celebration of music and the art of body and movement, featuring a fantastic cast of POC and queer talents dedicated to physical art forms such as Popping, Krumping, Voguing, Boxing, Breaking, Contemporary Dance, WuShu, and Kendo. This film aims to explore the intimate relationship between music and body expression; as well as changing representation in front of and behind the camera, by bringing underrepresented talents to the forefront to embrace the unique cultural spirits from the East and West.

The performers are indulged and focused, exuding strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance. The intense interconnected actions, manufactured to the breakbeat of the track, constantly fractures and merges, morphing into a hypnotic ensemble that pushes the mind to reconstruct the aesthetics of physicality.
