May 28th Super Jack is in ASBURY PARK @asburyparkbrewery supporting @ashyfinnband and @horrendous.downplay on their tour alongside local support @redheadredemptionband

Its a costume show, that’s pretty cool! I will be with my backing band THE PEDESTRIANS. I will hopefully be selling merch, CDs, shirts, a zine based off my tune “Spirals”… you know the drill!! Come out! Show out! It goes down at 6:30.

And there we have another album. This one’s called “Different People”. This is an album about loss and change, I went through a lot of loss recently. The thing about doing the whole “playing shows” thing is that you meet a lot of people, and just as quickly as you meet them, they disappear. This album is a meditation on that. It’s short, it’s 25 minutes.

I probably won’t be doing a lot of these songs live, but I made a promise to myself I would release this and I didn’t want to break it. I said in an earlier post that “IT’S NOT ALWAYS RAINBOWS” was part 1 of a trilogy. This is the second part. I wrote a bunch of songs at a similar time and kind of grouped them based on different thoughts. This means that you can expect more soon.

In the meantime however, I would love it if you checked this out. I’ll only be doing a limited run of these on CD, I probably won’t re print them. You can buy it online, or DM me. If you come to a show you can get a comic-zine based off two songs from the record, “Ghostly” and “Spirals”, made by the talented illustrator Juan @the_ephemeral_cartoonist (This post is a bunch of pictures from around the time when I was actually making the album, fucking around with my “Super Jack mask trademark” to make it new for me)

I also want to dedicate this album to Sofia St. Jean, they never heard this record but a lot of the visual cues from this album are following a record I made a few years ago called “The Lingering” which I was very lucky to have Sofia’s help in making. I miss them everyday.
