So sad to hear that Dennis Locorriere has passed away. I was brought up on his music and got to know Dennis when I was a kid and he invited me on stage a few times to sing with him. Those moments are some of my dearest core memories from my childhood and had a huge impact on me.

Aside from being a genuine rock legend with the most incredible, iconic voice, he was also so kind to me and my family, sending many letters and cards over the years to keep in touch.

He was on my mind earlier this week as the song we used to sing together was his classic hit “The Cover of Rolling Stone” so the timing feels especially poignant that he passed away the week that my name actually made it on the cover of Rolling Stone. I think he would have got a kick out of seeing that.

My thoughts are with all his friends and family. X

This is the face of someone who had just written THE END on the first draft of a novel that’s taken over two years to finish.
I am usually a fairly fast writer but a certain little marmalade loving bear came along and required all of my creative focus (and rightly so!). Once we finished Paddington and sent that little bear into the West End, I jumped straight back into this book and have been writing non-stop over the last few months, and over the weekend, I finally wrote THE END on the book that has taken me the longest to finish.

I have loved writing it and of all the books I’ve ever written, completing this first draft was by far the most satisfying.
