Untitled 2026 (Recipe/Requiem/Remix)
Hey, folks!
We’ve been working all this past week getting the installation set up in the Cyclorama (it’s looking and sounding great). @daniel.pravit.fethke and I will be in the kitchen today getting the food ready for you all to enjoy. As my late mother would say, “we went psycho” shopping at Super 88 and got the goods we need to feed 100+ people.
@63sheets will be filming the event to cap off his film residency which is a documentary about the project. I saw some early footage in a rough cut and his film is already so insightful and poetic. I’m grateful that we got paired together for @boscenterforarts ACTivate.
Extra special shoutout to: @thecenterpieceflowershop for the epic plant hookup!
See you later today!

Join Activate Resident Skooby Laposky this Saturday, March 7, from 4–8 PM at the BCA Cyclorama for an open showing of his work in progress: Untitled 2026 (Recipe/Requiem/Remix). This project is created in collaboration with Daniel Pravit Fethke and videographer Evan Sheets.
Untitled 2026 (Recipe/Requiem/Remix) is a social artwork that transforms the Cyclorama into a Thai pop-up restaurant, sound installation, and restorative gathering space. Inspired by the cooking-based works of Rirkrit Tiravanija, the project invites the Greater Boston community to share a communal meal and a moment of reflection together.

Meet our current capacity-building artists! Evan Sheets, a Boston-based videographer and photographer, is a member of our 2025 Boston cohort.
Evan’s creative process usually starts with images and ideas for visuals that ultimately become films. Drawing inspiration from filmmakers such as Wong Kar-wai, the Safdie brothers and Claire Denis, and authors including Thomas Pynchon and Don DeLillo, Evan is interested in concepts of duality, connection, and the changing landscape and nature of our world/society considering the rapid growth of technology. Evan is a recipient of the filmmaker ACTivate Residency at Boston Center for the Arts. During his residency he will be creating a short documentary following a fellow BCA resident’s installation at the Cyclorama in March 2026. He is also working on “Raindrops,” a short film currently in the rehearsal and production stage and currently set to be completed this fall. The film follows a day in the life of a young man struggling with his finances, sexuality, and overall balance of identity. In all of his work, Evan considers collaboration deeply, allowing the folks he is working with to bring their own ideas to the work.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
