“Frank Still Got It”
an original Whiskey Sour Recipe

Ingredients: 1.25 ounces Japanese whiskey, 3/4 ounce Grand Marnier, 3/4 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice, 3/4 ounce pineapple/mango juice, 1/2 ounce Orgeat Syrup, one egg-white, 2 sprigs of fresh sage, 1/4 cup chopped pineapple, four dashes aromatic bitters.

Step 1:In a shaker muddle pineapple, & 1/2 the sage.
Step 2:Add aromatic bitters, egg-white, lemon juice and shake for at least 30 seconds* (no Ice)
Step 3:Add orgeat, whiskey, Grand Marnier, pineapple/mango juice and ice before shaking another 30 seconds. (w/ Ice)
Step 4:Strain into a chilled rocks Tumblr. Garnish with lemon slice and other 1/2 of sage sprigs.

*Pro Tip 👍🏾: It helps if there’s something in the shaker at this step to ensure a nice texture and finish. I ordered some metal shaker balls from Amazon a while back that i used . If you ever purchased one of those workout protein shaker tumblers that have the ball inside to help mix the protein drink, you can use that as a substitution. The citris juice (i.e., lemon-, lime-, orange-, etc.) and egg-white are shaken in sours to denature the protein in the egg-white enough to let air in and give you a sustainable foam. Normally ice would do the trick, but this is what’s called a “dry-shake” i.e., with no ice and is used to establish a good foam base before adding remaining ingredients and ice for a second “wet-shake”. This dry-and wet-shake method ensures your sour drink recipes are silky, smooth, and have a nice frothy professional finish.

2 oz. Mango Simple Syrup
2-4 Dashes Hella Cocktail Co. Ginger Bitters

You will also need, 2 Whiskey Glasses, Shakercup, Hawthorne Strainer, Pairing Knife, Fine Mesh Strainer, large saucepan, colander, 2 cocktail picks and ice.

Yes, I am still dabbling in mixology…

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 Egg White
1.5 ounces Caribbean Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky ( The Glenlivet)
1/2 ounce Cointreau (Cointreau)
3-4 Dashes Cardamom Bitters (Scrappy's Bitters)
Sprinkle Ground Cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS: Dry shake, egg, white and lime juice for 30 seconds. Add in your scotch, Cointreau, bitters, and ice. Shake for another 15-20 seconds. Strain into a rocks tumblr. Top with sprinkle of ground cinnamon & enjoy 😊

1/2 tsp. Ground Clove
1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
1 Fresh Orange Peel


For Cocktail
2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey (we used Basil Hayden’s Bourbon)
1/4 oz. Lemon Juice
1 1/2 oz. Pumpkin Pie Syrup 
Ice
