Was kindergarten homework always THIS brutal??? 📚 “Since starting kindergarten last fall, my daughter typically comes home each night with a math worksheet, letter-writing practice, and a packet of sentences to read,” Erica Schwiegershausen writes. “Inevitably, this seems to bring out the worst in both of us. And I get it. She’s already spent the whole day in school. Does she really need to do an hour of homework?”
This is not how we remember kindergarten. But apparently, things have changed. At the link in bio, Schwiegershausen details her own frustration over her kid's seemingly endless assignments, including why experts (and other parents) agree that there's no upside to all this work.

In the latest edition of #GoingThroughIt, a letter-writer has moved in with her sister after a breakup, and the living situation is hindering her dating life. Her sister has enforced a “no dating” rule so long as they’re living together, and now she’s sneaking out to meet her hookups, which is causing tension. “I think it’s not just about dating,” Allison P. Davis writes back. Read Davis’ full advice for how to handle the dilemma at the link in bio.

Some successful business founders go on to launch more brands. Others invest in luxury real estate or start a podcast. Scott-Vincent Borba, however, is taking the path less traveled...toward God. 🙏 The former beauty exec and co-founder of e.l.f. just revealed to ABC7 News that he's being ordained as a Catholic priest later this month. Amen to that. Read more about the unexpected pivot at the link in bio.

In 1990, Lorna Simpson became one of the first African American women to exhibit at the Venice Biennale — making her return to the festival with her solo exhibition, “Third Person,” all the more poignant. Sponsored by Bottega Veneta and organized in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the show features approximately 50 works spanning 20 years of her practice, across painting, collage, sculpture, installation, and film.
“The unexpected part of this coming full circle is actually a lot of the first works I made were shown in Venice,” Simpson says. “So it’s a lovely return.” At the link in bio, Simpson sits down with @evaninwonderland to discuss returning to Venice and how her work has navigated politics and identity over time.

“In my mind, somebody who called himself a ‘girl dad’ was trying too hard,” writes parenting columnist Jason Diamond (@imjasondiamond) in the latest edition of #Figuring. “If a guy used the term in earnest, he must be the sort of person you’d see wearing a 'The future is female' shirt, only to eventually find out he was actually a huge sleazebag toward women.”
Before his daughter was born, Diamond was adamant that there was a difference between having a daughter and being a girl dad. But after her birth, he sees things differently. At the link in bio, Diamond writes about owning his girl dad status, cheesy as it may be.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
