Realist Alive and Petrichor join forces on May 29 for a blitz of pure dancefloor experimentation.

Nairobi’s Slikback returns to Bristol for a live solo debut after his 2025 appearance alongside Aïsha Devi as aka.hex. A fixture on international bills & alumnus of festivals from Unsound to Draaimolen, Slikback has spent a decade building an inimitable discography. Absorbing and merging anything from Gqom, hardcore techno, trap and dubstep, entwining Pan-African instrumentation with low-end brutality, he’s a titan of club music equal parts radically deconstructed and fearlessly personal.

Long-term affiliate of the alchemical label SVBKVLT, Hyph11e has frequently pushed bass music to its outer limits. Melding industrial atmospherics and the futuro-fury of noise with a hyperactive approach borrowing from drum and bass and footwork, Hyph11e’s sound is boundless & otherworldly. She has played regularly across Europe and Asia and graced numerous festivals from Rewire to Dekmantel. She returns to Bristol for an hour demonstrating her iridescent, apocalyptic imaginary of bass music.

prey coded is one of deconstructed club’s current ascendant talents. The late 2025 album glossolalia demonstrated a singularly new idiolect, encompassing sound art, ambient and industrial music. Her 2026 has seen a number of international mixes follow, as well as a recent Paris show alongside KAVARI & S280F. May 29 presents her debut in the UK.

KTR is the head of Petrichor and a constant of London’s conflagrant avant-club new-gen. A dexterous DJ and producer, KTR distinguishes himself via a musical style incorporating not thundering abrasion alone but the murky moodpieces of UK dubstep, plus the emotionality found in IDM and trance.

The bill is rounded out by Bristol’s post-club pulsar qwerty-uiop and Realist Alive architect tskali. The two RA mainstays join forces for an opening set promising equal parts subterranean pressure and subversive selection.

There’s just prey coded’s music. There’s no label. Taxonomy is means of killing things. Anyone who exceeds the confines of the conception has exceeded the confines of the nomenclature. And prey coded’s music exceeds any terminology such that it could be given any title on the basis of linguistic inadequacy. It is chamber music, it is harsh-tek, it is a series of waltzes. It’s a singular exploration of all electronic, sonic textures in the expression of self-discovery. A syncopated, plebeian chant, whirring breakbeats, screaming static and computational squall... adjective, noun - a person in a Paris delineating the co-existence of particularity and the universal. Every breakage, every sampled voice, all accumulating to a proof of the potentiality of this music in tabulating a personhood in all its frustration and questioning.  
             
Orbits and disembodiment. A city ingested in being. Phenomenology not as perceptual experience but the extremer sensation of every architecture being inside oneself as a thing hardly comprehensible. prey coded’s searching for self seems inextricable from place, but in the sense that the metropolis is a figure for the cosmic scale of inward turbulence and interrogation. It is the horrid, celestial cinema of the city. Jean-Baptiste Clamence says Amsterdam resembles a Dantean hell. But every city is the projection of dead stars. And ultimately, the city is still a figure here, a mirror of inward enormity. An accompaniment to expurgation and uncovering, entreaties and imprecations, a contradictory magnitude... it is the city’s supersize that is dwarfed by the intimate supernovae of a person diarizing in distortion. Exorcising in abrasion, unearthing in acceleration, weariness and hope musified. “Am I still talking to myself?” The question into which the mix disappears. prey coded translates the unfixable motion of deconstructed club, its nature to abduct that whichever it touches unto infernality and heavenliness, into an enquiry of the possibility of an inner peace. The point is that a person is revealed and in that revelation equally a portion of the world.

This weeks we have an unrecognizable creature caught under an avalanche on hypercore url: prey coded. A good mixtape is to throw yourself at the streets, speed up as your vision blurs, and lose yourself on new spots of the map, until you start laughing at your distress with a form of anxious peace. As she embarks on a pangy journey where trajectories break and paths narrow till you suffocate, only to reveal fog and echo. You might find pieced-up resolutions at the intersections, but it won’t mean we’re on the easy way out: hypotheses, interrogations, strangled laughs, murmurs of grief, frail vows to the future, ghosts of attempts to make sense of it all.

Prey coded is a producer recently turned DJ. After a few years’ hiatus, she is back releasing music and was notably a part of Marmint Agency’s Tüskebölcső, in addition to self-releasing tracks.

As a DJ, her style is not bound by genres but focuses on everything deconstructed and aims to liberate the audience from violence through chaos; a thick black veil with a pale light piercing through here and there, « a cold, dark and very gentle place » where trauma can heal through expression and dance.
