I am stoked to say that I have been able to work on a documentary short with @yoyos_films with the assistance and guidance of @newamericaorg
This film is a microscopic journey of the life of a woman, her family, and the delicate dance of the role of a primary caretaker. Taking my script from the book Holding It Together by Jessica Calarco, allowed me to dissect the idea of the “Supermom Myth”, the idea that mothers in this country are expected to do it all. The subject of this film explores her first year of motherhood and the choice to leave corporate America to start her own business to provide for her family. While Andrea and many primary caretakers in this country manage to tackle these amazing feats of resilience, why is it the pressure and expectation to protect families solely on the mother and other caretakers in feminized roles? I wanted to explore the limited power of the individual and the deficit of social services that are provided for parents when raising our next generation. With a direct comparison of the cost of a child and the cost of running a cafe, it is my hope that audiences will feel called to action to advocate for the systemic protections of mothers and caretakers alike.
Another huge thanks to my dear friend and mountain magnet @cameron__kit! You have always taught me to face my fears and take the path less traveled! Additional thanks to @newamericaorg for the resources and deep wisdom from your team of dedicated storytellers.

tokyo girl. what's she so adorable for.
trip of a lifetime to Tokyo and Seoul with my wonderful sister @meredithrobinson_
We were hella jet lagged but we ate the best food, walked 15,000 steps a day and shopped like champions.
And yes, I got you a little present.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
