That ginger-haired classic is back at Albatross this Saturday, April 11 — only a little over a month from the 2026 AIDS Walk NY!

Candy will be singing her original songs and entertaining audiences with her stories of a life full of ups and downs and bridged together by song.

Audiences are in for a treat with special guest Woo Woo Monroe, Astoria’s newest resident and entertainment sensation! Fandys will remember her from last year keeping audiences in stitches with her eclectic repertoire!

The incomparable DJ Joey will be on lights and sound and celebrating some major milestones — and y’all won’t wanna miss it!

So much fun to be had at Astoria’s favorite watering hole! (Yes, I said watering...)

As always, all tips will be doubled and will go toward AIDS Walk NY — where Team CandyWrappers will be this year, for the 15th year in a row!

Come on out for a down home good time with friends who have become family and use YOUR Powers for Good!

Last night I went to the kick off for the 2026 AIDS Walk NY at 1 Vanderbuilt. TD Bank, a generous sponsor, hosted us and I got to say a few words about how Team CandyWrappers came to be.

What started as a response to support a friend has become a 15-year (and counting) mission to show support, end stigma and help to end the epidemic. Over the years Team CandyWrappers has made a wonderful network of friends who are all family.

Each year we gather to Walk the Walk and show our support to a community that in recent days is seeing services and access to crucial medication shrinking. We need to do better. We MUST do better.

That’s one of the many reasons I Walk!

Special guest, Jon Schweizer, will be joining Miss Candy with song and fun for the whole crowd. Find out about Team CandyWrappers — and sign up to join us on the Walk this year (which will be held on Sunday, May 17 in NYC’s Central Park).

Albatross felt like home last night.

Friends. Chosen family. My cousin Madison and her friend cheering in the crowd. A neighborhood that actually shows up.

We raised $415 in tips, matched to $830 for our CandyWrappers AIDS Walk New York team supporting GMHC. We used our powers for good y’all.

Tomorrow night, February 14 at 7pm, Candy LIVE! is back on the @albatrossastoria stage.

Yes, it is Valentine’s Day. But more importantly, it is a night to show up for our community. We are raising money for this year’s @aidswalkny, and every single tip during the show will be matched and donated directly to the CandyWrappers team in support of @gmhc .
