Perth Pro Lab (@perthprolab), a Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab, was founded by photographer Paul Jarvis. It was born from years of frustration with traditional labs that could not match the care and precision he expected for his images. After spending more than 20 years behind the camera, Paul decided to learn how to print himself, driven by a desire to stay true to every detail and intention.
What began in a spare room soon grew as fellow photographers entrusted him with their work, ranging from personal prints to award entries. Today, Perth Pro Lab is a dedicated space built on expertise, consistency, and a deep understanding of what truly matters in fine art printing.

Did you know?
At the Canson Paper Mill, the first stage of papermaking is one of the most important. As fibres are suspended in water, their distribution and alignment determine how the paper will behave.
These factors influence ink absorption, sharpness of detail, and the overall depth of a print, even before the sheet is formed.

Canson®’s papermaking heritage dates back to 1557 and can be traced back to the Montgolfier family, who are also renowned for inventing the first hot air balloon. For centuries, their expertise has produced papers that are recognised across the fine art world.
In March, we opened our doors to a group of photographers — Hanneke Van Camp (@hike_and_sea), Julie Stamenic (@juliestamenic), and Rances Verhoeff (@rancesverhoeffphotograph)— who captured the craftsmanship and processes behind Canson® paper production through their lenses. These papers form the very foundation on which your photographs and artworks are created.
Hanneke Van Camp brought a unique perspective to the experience, stepping into the process to experience the art of papermaking first-hand and capturing its poetry.
Today, artists, photographers and printmakers use a wide range of museum-grade papers to create limited and open editions. Produced in Annonay, France, Canson® papers combine centuries of craftsmanship with modern precision to meet the highest creative standards.

At Harwood King (@harwoodkingprintmakers), a Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab based in the UK, exceptional fine art prints are produced through a combination of craftsmanship and expertise. By working closely with artists, the lab ensures that every detail, from paper selection to the final finish, enhances the original artwork while preserving its integrity over time.
This expertise lies at the heart of our collaboration with Faye Bridgewater (@faye_bridgwater) whose floral paintings make an instant impact. Drawing inspiration from the untamed vibrancy of flowers and foliage, she captures the intricate beauty of nature through an energetic palette and expressive brushstrokes.
The piece featured in the video is part of a limited edition, with each print signed, numbered, and hand-finished by Faye. This process ensures that every print remains unique, with subtle variations that breathe life into each piece.
To faithfully reproduce the artwork, the print was created on Somerset® Enhanced Velvet White paper. Its fine-grain texture enhances delicate details, while the natural white base adds depth, contrast, and richness to colours, resulting in outstanding print quality and longevity.
Working with certified labs is essential to ensure that each artwork is paired with the most suitable paper, perfectly aligning with both the artist’s vision and the final result. Their in-depth knowledge of the Canson® Infinity range makes this possible.

Drawing on over 40 years of printmaking expertise, Harwood King (@harwoodkingprintmakers), the UK-based Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab, specialises in producing exhibition-quality giclée prints for artists and photographers. Precision colour management lies at the heart of their process, ensuring that tonal accuracy, depth and detail are faithfully translated from screen to paper.
For photographers, surface and tonal range are paramount. Papers such as Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag offer exceptional Dmax and smooth gradation, while Somerset® Enhanced Velvet White paper (330 gsm) provides a tactile, mould-made finish for a softer, more refined appearance.
Every print undergoes careful in-house inspection and finishing, whether it is precision-cut using a Zünd system or hand-torn to achieve a traditional deckled edge.
By working with trusted, archival-quality papers, Harwood King can deliver museum-standard results that meet the expectations of photographers and artists.

- This eye-catching image by Canson® Infinity Ambassador Therese Asplund perfectly exemplifies her creative, narrative-driven approach to photography. By playing with bold colours, florals and sculptural composition, she has transformed a simple portrait into a vivid visual narrative.
Inspired by the arrival of spring and the return of natural light, Therese enjoyed complete creative freedom in terms of styling and concept. The result is a powerful, almost surreal composition in which colour, texture and light come together effortlessly to create something that is both elegant and expressive.

The Perfect Exposure Studio(@perfectexposurestudio), a Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab based in the USA, continues to breathe life into exceptional images through its expert printing services.
Occasionally, the studio works with images that truly stand out. This was one of those moments when everyone paused to admire this striking photograph by Keren Ceballos. Printed on Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag, the photograph beautifully captures the intensity of the colours, the softness of the skin and every fine detail.
Inspired by traditional F-Type Baryta Fibre paper, Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag provides a pure white tone without the use of optical brighteners, ensuring visual depth and long-term stability. Its high D-max and exceptional grey tones make it an outstanding choice for colour and black-and-white prints alike.

📷@justindesouza.photo - This elegant composition by professional restaurant food and beverage photographer Justin De Souza transforms simple ingredients into a refined visual story. Soft textures, delicate florals and sculptural plating reflect a highly stylised, contemporary approach to food imagery, where every detail is carefully considered.
This approach mirrors the evolution of food photography itself, which began to gain aesthetic recognition in the mid-20th century when dishes started to be styled and photographed as visual experiences rather than just for documentation purposes.
