The top video was taken in 2016 while on vacation with my grandparents and @salcorum. As the duo played a cover of Peaceful, Easy Feeling, I remember thinking it was such a grim place mainly due to the colorful strobing light. I had to take a quick video to remind myself that’s exactly what I wanted for this sequence in @splintersfilm.
The video below features shots in which we used a similar light. It ended up being the only light we rented for the film. Everything else (except one scene in which I used a clamp lamp) was filmed with available light.
Also, the song West of Vegas was written by @dustinketterman and @elegant_trogon. They made my life a lot easier by making such fitting and beautiful tunes for the film.

The top video shows Bo (Jackson Kelly) while the one below features his mom Anna (@jonilovesjoni). Throughout the film, he believes she has no idea what he’s going through and that he’s alone in his grief. By repeating certain frames, my aim was to show how similar and connected their journeys are.
