A big thank you to everyone who came along to the launch last Thursday, to celebrate the work of our brilliant resident here at Make Huyton Village.

The works on display range from fine art, to prints, handmade products and moving image.

In case you missed the launch, the exhibition is running until this Thursday 21st May, 11am - 4pm, everyday at Make on the Corner 📍

There's also an opportunity to get involved, interact with the art, and give your thoughts on Huyton Village's future!

We transformed a massive 45m² mural transformation at the Childcare Academy Nursery! 🪵🦊

With an exciting design concept from Brian at The Childcare Academy, we assembled Rachel and the team from @quirkydesignco_ to bring the mural to life on the wall with bright colours and bold shapes.

Rachel even used VR headset to map the digital design onto the wall for extra precision. Through the sunshine and the rain, the team got to work with spray paint and brushes, including our Co-Founder, Kirsten, who was able to go back to her art roots!

Skills workshops coming to Make Hamilton 🛠️

On ​1​st June, ITS will be hosting two sessions focused on getting workplace-ready. These are free to attend via funding from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

The morning (10am - 12pm) is about Digital Skills—the basics you need to navigate a modern workplace with confidence.

The afternoon (1pm - 3pm) moves on to Employment Skills. This covers the full cycle: finding a job, polishing your CV, nailing the interview, and understanding workplace etiquette once you’ve landed the role.

ARTIST COMMISSIONS #2 - @dadafest

This year, we are proud to welcome another local commission from multi-instrumentalist Tomas Edgar, in partnership with DaDaFest.

Tomas Edgar is a multi instrument musician based in northwest Liverpool. He plays Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, And keyboards. He enjoys playing and writing unconventional / experimental music heavily inspired by Frank Zappa and Japanese Jazz Fusion. He likes to explore lots of different genres / types of music such hasRock Blues Classic Country Reggae Jazz and blend these ideas together He produces his own music and enjoys helping others went ever he can. Tomas will be joined on stage by Multi instrumentalist of Ex Easter Island Head, Jon Herring along with drummer and member of Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company, Finley Holt.

This one is special, not just because of the scale, but because it brought us back to the Baltic Triangle, where Make first began nearly 13 years ago, a proper full circle moment.

The original design concepts from Brian and the team at The Childcare Academy drew from the magic of an English forest and the energy of bold primary colors - creating an immersive environment designed to spark curiosity within the 0–5 age group. The team at @quirkydesignco_ brought the designs to life on the wall, blending digital prep with hand-painted detail. It was a proper team effort, with our Creative Director Kirsten even getting back on the tools with a paintbrush.
