Even though 2016 was the year I got cancer, it was still a pretty good year.

Before the cancer diagnosis in August 2016:
- I was living my best damn life in Greece, having adventures with my sister.
- I drank a bottle of wine on the floor of the Billy Bishop airport with Terry.
- That was just before Terry and I had to hitch a ride with a stranger back from Montreal.
- little kitten Zoe came to live with me. She drove me insane in the best way. And Wiley fell in love with her almost immediately.
- my hair was long and red and luscious.

After my diagnosis:
- I went kind of numb for the rest of the year.
- I got so much love and support and so many care packages from so many people, some who barely even knew me. Some who I hadn't seen in years but they still cared. I feel so lucky to have had that kind of community around me. I don't know how I would've gotten through without that.
- I did some intense chemo. Got more constipated than I ever even knew was possible. Did you know if the poop doesn't come out you have to TAKE IT OUT? no further comment.
- I shaved my head. That was really weird and I hated my bald head but I did love wearing cute scarves.

And in December 2016, I got life-saving surgery. They took the cancer out, along with my entire cervix. And somehow through the magic of modern medicine they preserved my fertility. And now, 10 years later, I'm just about ready to do an embryo transfer and maybe make a baby. That is so wild.

This 2016 post contains way more information about my body than you ever thought you would have. And for that I apologize.

A December wedding at The Old Mill, Toronto

December 13th gave us the kind of winter wedding photographers dream about. Fresh snow, crisp air, and that warm, cozy glow you only get during the holidays. The Old Mill was the perfect backdrop: timeless architecture, twinkling lights, and just enough festive charm to make it feel like a true celebration of love and season.

We captured laughter around every corner, quiet moments between the chaos, and all the in-between things that make a wedding day real. This one had it all - the energy, the emotion, the story!

For couples recently engaged and looking for wedding photography that feels natural and honest - we'd love to tell your story.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
