In 2020 @asiaaa.ny hit me with an idea so we met in Harlem and shot this in 30 mins. In the first image I climbed up a stoop to shoot from above—you can’t really tell in the image, because if feels so intimate. I guess sometimes you gotta take a step back to get closer.
Since then I’ve seen it inspire ~a lot~, they’re some of my favorite images. I’m happy to say that it is now part of the permanent collection of @schomburgcenter.
