A whirlwind but incredible first week on the job. Just some of my week 1 highlights:
1. Announcing part 1 of my amazing new cabinet with so much talent, experience and love for Hackney between them. Final names coming next week!
2. Making the case for rent controls after a Kings Speech that showed that the government just doesn’t get the housing crisis.
3. Introducing myself to 1,000s of council staff in my livestream with Hackney’s Chief Executive Dawn Carter-McDonald. Dawn is Hackney through-and-through, and it was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm from my new colleagues at the council.
4. Joining our new finance lead @florschech to welcome Hackney reps from @hackneypsc to Hackney Town Hall. More to come on this.
5. Speaking after the screening about the beautiful documentary about Rabbi Herschel Gluck “How to get on with everybody”, shown at @abneyparkn16 one of my favourite places in Hackney
6. Back with Rabbi Gluck today to discuss the vital work he and @shomrim do for Hackney.
7. Meeting the @saveridleyroad campaign with our new high streets and markets lead and Ridley Road expert Cllr Rachel Nkiessu-Guifo, to discuss how the council can do more to support and protect the market.

Anonstories oferuje doskonałe rozwiązanie do ukrywania swojej tożsamości.
