Here’s to Nicole. I don’t know how she did it, she had a tour group of 20 people in Girona the week before, and her regular PT clients throughout, and during it all was the most fantastic and ever present Mum of three kids - I don’t know how we’d survive in the Millar household without her. Yet she was determined to do the @thetraka 360, because she wanted to do something that scares her. She crushed it, her friends all came out and supported, which was the loveliest thing, and I crewed from start to finish. Like she does for our family every single day. I’m biased, but next to @victorbozo I’d say it was the ride of the Traka. Thanks to Nicole and Victor for making this year extremely special for me, and I didn’t have to ride it to have the experience.

Say hello to Factor Racing.We got together for the first time as a group yesterday, making the most of everyone’s presence in Girona ahead of Santa Vall.Factor Racing has been a bit of a project for me this past year, building it out, shaping the direction of it, choosing the riders. It’s ended up being one of the favourite parts of my job at Factor.It’s taken following races to a whole new level, as the recent Atlas Mountains Race proved, I can’t even remember when I was so invested in following a race.Thank you @victorbozo and @watt_wagon - that was intense.This weekend is @santavall_ and we’ll have ten riders on the start line, I’m so excited, it’s ridiculous.Let’s go.

A Sunday in Hell is the greatest cycling film ever made. It was released the year I was born. Forty years later, at the premier of Time Trial, Jørgen Leth came and took the seat next to me and patted me on the leg and said I should be proud. Jørgen and I had become friends, we’d often sit together and talk during our breaks from TV work in the zone technique at the Tour de France. I loved his company and felt very privileged to simply hang out with him and ask questions and listen to his stories and opinions. I missed our random meetings when he stopped coming to France in July. I interviewed him once just for fun. I’m going to look for the recording tomorrow, listen back, and pretend we’re hanging out filling time while we wait to watch the bike race.

Two weeks into the Tour de France. I’ve been daily chronicling this final lap inside the race. Such a magical and mad July in France. The Tour de France is so much more than a bike race, so pleased I decided to capture as much I can in writing and photographs, I’m soaking it all up that much more 🫶🏻 One week to go.

It’s Tour de France time, and it’s my final as a TV commentator. In the past I’ve written daily diaries, capturing the thoughts I have about the race that I don’t get to talk about in the heat of live commentary, yet also, and more importantly, it allows me to capture all the madness of the circus that exists around the race. This year is going to be particularly special, I’m going to appreciate every day, and I want to chronicle as much as I can and soak up the things that maybe I had started to take for granted. I’m done. Wanted to tick off some of the modern classics, and @unboundgravel was missing. @robgitelis and I put this on our list after @migrationgravelrace last year. We came, we had no plans of conquering, in fact Rob crashed out and broke a rib, I hung on with the elites for 50km then blew up and spent over 100km thinking of ways to quit (which I didn’t). All in all we got the full non-conquering experience. The @factorbikes_us team were all in to support us, and also created an amazing Temple of Speed pop-up, and @rob_britton did conquer, so all in all a great few days in Emporia, Kansas. Note to self, do more research, I thought it was going to be flat. It was very much not flat.

I rode 560km and climbed nearly 10,000m, I didn’t sleep. I never thought I’d do a ride like that. Which is perhaps why I said yes when @gerardfreixes invited me to try. I’m glad I did, I had forgotten what I can do, it reminded me of the places I can go. @thetraka 560 was a journey home. Thank you Nicole ❤️ @gironabespoke for putting up with my bike obsession and Sunday long rides, and @arnauwens for capturing it, film is coming…

Ride, race, train, repeat, that was the concept mantra. In frame storage, 34mm tire clearance, 1cm raised stack height on the head tube, and ergonomic handlebars for every and any day riding, without losing industry leading aerodynamics and race handling geometry. It comes full build with Shimano Ultegra or SRAM FORCE. This is the Factor experience that doesn’t require a World Tour license. Chapeau to @robgitelis and the engineering team 👏🏻🙌🏻 #factorbikes
