Amazing food, amazing architecture, amazing people. We had the pleasure of meeting @andreasfhf at a lovely bar, where he invited us to the burlesque the following night at @conventicolaultramoderni. It ended up being one of the best nights of our lives. The performers were world class, the drinks were top notch (Andres designed and executed the incredible cocktail menu) and the performers invited us backstage and treated us like family. Andres even graced us with a clarinet performance towards the end of the evening.

It’s a strange time to be an American abroad, but Rome scooped us up under her wing, and it’s now officially my favorite city in the world. Thank you @andreasfhf for showing us how beautiful this city truly is.🌹

Today marks 13 years smoke free for me, but MOST importantly it’s my best friend Laila’s 36th trip around the sun! What a light you are in this world, Laila - an ever abundant source of wisdom, wonder, compassion and joy. Thank god I took that drawing class in college and stumbled into your life. Thanks for letting me stay and soak up all the love you so freely offer to this world that simply doesn’t deserve you. We are all better for your presence. Jeff is one of the kindest souls I’ve encountered in this life. He waltzed into my living room with @adam_williams_music for an audition of sorts, for a wedding band I would soon be a part of, and we’ve been working together singing in @theshakedownbandseattle going on 6 years now. We’ve seen each other through the highs and lows of life, and I feel so honored to have such an empathic, wise, talented, goofy and glorious human as Jeff to call a best friend.

Getting to vocally direct this show was a literal dream of mine, and I couldn’t be more proud of my girls, @griggsypoo, @jeaniezbeanie, @iriskymm and @sarahrudinoff for putting SO MUCH WORK into this, and absolutely crushing it.
Singing harmonies is why I even got into this art form, and getting to tackle the prolific arrangements of @auroramusic, @sigurros, @bjork, @laufey, @abba, @robynkonichiwa, and @lykkeli was some of the most challenging and rewarding music I’ve ever had the honor of being a part of.
